Le Tresor of the Marais in Paris

As featured on HGTV's "Househunter's International"........A charming one bedroom apartment with mezzanine (sleeping loft) is located in the heart of the Marais district (4th arrondissment) of Paris. The views of the rooftops of the Marais from this fourth floor unit provide the utmost in charm, and its location on a courtyard provides solace in the midst of the exciting, high energy Marais district just outside your door. Light pours through the large windows making the apartment bright and cheerful, and the recent renovations include double insulated windows to buffer any sounds from the streets. You are only blocks from such well known sights as Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, Musée Carnavalet, Place des Vosges, Victor Hugo Museum, the Bastille and Hotel de Sully. As a district which was built to house the nobility of the royal court of France, the architecture of the "hotels particuliers" is breathtaking. These structures stand in juxtaposition to exciting boutiques, art galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants. As the most "in" section in Paris, don't be surprised to find journalists, models, photographers and celebrities rubbing elbows with you as you stroll through the quarter.

The apartment is completely renovated with modern appliances and fixtures. The high ceilings are set off by the beautiful, original wooden beams that add character to the apartment. These seventeeth century beams are real and support the roof of the building. Make sure you look for the carvings in the beams and the original wooden nails used in the 17th century. Oak parquet floors compliment the combined living/dining area, master bedroom and mezzanine. A modern bathroom in blue and white tile contains a spacious shower and bright, sunny windows. A well equipped kitchen features Portuguese tile floors and countertops, a four eye glass stove top, coffee maker, a small refrigerator with freezer section, and a microwave oven for cooking and reheating.

Location, location, location.  You are only blocks from such well known sights as Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, Musée Carnavalet, Place des Vosges, Victor Hugo Museum, the Bastille and Hotel de Sully. The apartment is located between two major Metro stops, Hotel de Ville and St. Paul, on Line 1.  From either station, you can be, in minutes, at the Louvre, the Place de la Concorde, The Champs Elysses and the Arc de Triomphe.  The apartment is located in the heart of central Paris.

Rates below are for double occupancy. Add 100 euros/week per adult over two; add 70 euros week per child (over 12 years of age only). The apartment is NOT suitable for young children or babies.

Jan-March (Winter) - $1150 USD/week

April - October (High Season) - $1250 -$1500 USD/week

November-Mid-December (Thanksgiving) - $1200USD- $1400USD/week

Christmas and New Year's Weeks:  $1500 USD/week

Calculation of rates is in US Dollars; however, you are welcome to pay in dollars via personal credit card or PayPal.  Or, you can wire the fund equivalent in dollars to my US bank account.  50% of the rental is due to hold the apartment for rental. The balance of the rental is due 3 weeks before your arrival along with a $650 USD security deposit for keys and damage deposit.  That $650 USD amount is returned after the return of the keys and an inspection of the property for damage/loss.  As well, a 60 euro cleaning fee is charged or may be deducted from the returned security deposit. 

Payment can be done by credit card (add 4.0% for MC and Visa, 5.5% for AMEX), PayPal (add 3.75%) or by wire transfer directly to the bank (add $45 USD transfer fee).  The reservation is not confirmed until the initial 50% for the rental is received.  Until then, prices can change. 

Check-in is not before 11A on date of arrival, and check-out is at 10A on date of departure to allow for proper cleaning for arriving guests.

CANCELLATION
POLICY:

In renting
this apartment, you must agree to the following:

If you cancel the reservation for an
apartment prior to the scheduled arrival date, you will forfeit the nonrefundable
deposit you paid to hold this reservation.

If you cancel the reservation for an
apartment after you have made your final payment and prior to my scheduled arrival
date, including week and weekend days, you will forfeit the entire amount that you have paid for the rental.

If you cut short or cancel my stay
once you have occupied the apartment, in the event of unanticipated interruption, 
you understand that no refund will be possible; and, you  further understand that you
will be still be liable for any damages caused by you during rental period and discovered
during check-out.
