This unit which sleeps four (1 queen bed & a sleeper sofa) has all the amenities within the 22 story Renaissance Tower which boasts a heated 12 person jacuzzi, 2 sauna's along with an exercise room and laundry room with 12 washers and dryers. Nearby are indoor heated pools,saunas & whirlpools with exercise rooms. Sip Coffee in the morning on the balcony watching the Sun Rise and Listening to the Crashing Waves of High Tide, Seagulls Squaking and watching Pelicans Fly By; a phenomenal change from the alternative sound of Snow Plows Scraping along while watching the Snow Fall while waiting for that Oil/Gas Furnace to click on again & again.  In addition, there is an inhouse deli/cafe which sells various sundries, 2 private indoor pools, as well as an oceanside TikiBar.

Small but very nice

My first reaction when I walked into the room was "Where's the rest of it?" But it actually turned out to be plenty of space for my husband and me. The room was a little smaller than expected, but it was clean and everything was in good working order (most of the appliances and fixtures look dated, but again, everything worked fine.)

The balcony was also a little small, but since it was just the 2 of us there, it was perfect. I also liked that the balcony got sun in the morning, but was nice and shaded in the afternoons/evenings when it got hot. Also, the Tiki Hut nearby plays music periodically during the day/evening so you get a little background music while sitting outside.

I also really liked that there were many activities in the resort. There were 2 pools right by us and the smaller one (located to the side of our hotel away from the main area) was generally less crowded. Plus it's right on the beach so that was nice. There's also an indoor hot tub, workout room, arcade room and small restaurant that always smelled amazing on the main floor. Plus there are more pools (indoor and outdoor), a lazy river, tennis courts, etc in the resort.

This resort is also very close to all the Myrtle Beach attractions without being right on the main strip. We never had a big issue with traffic but we were close to lots of activities and restaurants.

The only downside I found with the hotel was the elevators. They were often very slow getting to any floor, even the main lobby. But this room is only on the 5th floor so we just opted to take the stairs.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. Even with this being a smaller, sort of outdated room, it was clean and we had no issues with anything there. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and maybe families with a young child or two.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, sight seeing, romantic getaway
