  • Large heated pool, hot tub, and gas bbq grills are right outside your front door.
  • Fitness center & second pool in adjoining complex.
  • 46" HDTV in living room with DirectTV programming.
  • We've got a great collection of classic guy movies & Blu-ray/DVD.
  • Free popcorn!
  • Wireless Internet....but promise us you won't get any work done while you're here.
  • Gas fireplace.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with ice & water on the fridge door, crockpot, blender, ice bucket, assorted spices and just about anything else you'll need to cook with.
  • Caffeine addicts will appreciate our man-sized mugs and an assortment of coffee & teas.  We also provide creamer, sugar, and sugar substitute for your convenience.
  • Fun barware, big AZ Cardinals drink tub, and fancy tools for fixin' drinks.
  • Our AZ Cardinals bedroom features 2 twin beds with private bath, 32" flat-screen TV, and room-darkening Levelor shades.
  • Our 'Round-Up Room' features a king-size bed, some really big steer horns, 40" LED TV & Blu-ray/DVD player, walk-in closet, oversized tub and double vanity, and room-darkening Levelor shades.
  • Bath-time amenities include shampoo & conditioner, disposable razors, soap, and blowdryers in two bathrooms.
  • We strongly believe there are two words that should never be used together in the same sentence...ever.  Those words are: laundry & mancave.  And we sincerely hope that during your stay at Ace n' Willy's, you will never, ever be forced to wash anything other than yourself.  But just in case you're struck with an urge to do laundry, we have a washer, dryer, and detergent conveniently tucked away in an upstairs closet, so feel free to brush aside the cobwebs, blow the dust off, and have at it.  And should you feel inspired to actually iron something, we've got an ironing board and iron, too.
  • One more thing.  We understand that shopping for paper products is never fun, so we generously provide disposable plates (the styro kind), napkins, plastic cups, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, and zip-lock baggies.  And, of course, plenty of tissue and sturdy, 2-ply toilet paper (not that cheap stuff that practically disolves in your hand).

activities and attractions in Glendale Arizona

Okay...you're in Glendale and Phoenix, so there are about a zillion fun things to do.  If you walk across the street to Westgate, you'll find loads of cool restaurants and nightclubs.  If you eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, have the Volcano Nachos - they're GINORMOUS and will feed 2 or 3 people!  And if you feel like shopping, you'll find plenty of it at the BRAND NEW Tanger Outlet Shops.

In our garage, you'll find a couple of nifty Classic Cruiser bicycles so you can take a spin around the Westgate neighborhood! Both bikes have bike locks so you can park them at Westgate while you shop and dine.

If you've got kids, especially little ones, they'll love the splash fountain at Westgate.  Stick 'em in their swim suits, grab some beach towels and a couple of folding spectator chairs out of the downstairs closet, and head to Westgate.  It's free, so you'll have extra money for ice cream since Cold Stone Creamery is conveniently located next door!

Also at Westgate - AMC's multi-plex theater plus Arizona's largest IMAX.  And you already know about University of Phoenix/Cardinals Stadium and the Jobing Arena, home of the NHL Phoenix Coyotes.

For those of you interested in making the pilgrimage to Cabelas, you can walk there in 10 minutes or less, or you can jump in your car and drive across the street.

Tour the University of Phoenix Stadium...Home of the AZ Cardinals!! Check out the AZ Cardinals Tour Brochure inside the condo for more information!!

PLUS... there are soccer fields, several golf courses (this is Phoenix, after all, so you can't drive 10 blocks without passing a golf course..one of our guests recommends the Coldwater Golf Club), Glendale's Baseball Complex (Camelback Ranch), and other MLB Spring Training Baseball Fields just a short drive away.

Nature lovers may want to explore the White Tank Mountains, situated less than 30 minutes away.  And don't forget about local zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens.

Nascar fans will find the Phoenix International Raceway 20-30 minutes away.

Phoenix is also loaded with museums including the Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum, Musical Instrument Museum, Penske Racing Museum, Arizona Capital Museum...even the Girl Scout Museum.

Worth doing: Drive to Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.  It's not far and when you get there, you can buy tickets at the window to tour the baseball stadium.  Even better, you can head on up to TGI Friday's for lunch or dinner overlooking the field - it's actually attached to the outfield  on the other side of the buidling from the ticket window. A very cool place for lunch!

When you're downtown, drop in for a meal or a drink at the Duce - a hip and funky eating and drinking establishment located in the warehouse district near Chase Field and featuring a fabulous pie bar and antique soda fountain, indoor & outdoor dining, antiques and vintage clothing for sale, and in the middle of it all...a bonafide boxing ring and gym.  It's definitely different and kind of crazy, but it works. Check out their website for special events.

Kids (and adults) will probably enjoy a free 30-minute tour (with free samples!) at Cerreta's Candy Store & Chocolate Factory, located in Historic Downtown Glendale. Also available is a VIP Chocolate Pizza Tour that includes making your own chocolate pizza.  While you're there, have lunch in Ye Olde Historic Glendale (try Pete's Famous Fish & Chips!) and check out 'Antique Row' on Glendale Avenue from 59th Street to about 55th.

Spend a fun day rafting down the Salt River in east Mesa, about a 45 minute drive away.  They provide rafts and transportation from check-in to the drop-off point on the river.  You bring swimsuits, hats, lots of sunscreen, and a cooler full of beer.  You can also cool off at several water parks located around the city.

Don't forget about world-class shopping and casinos - there are plenty of malls and gambling houses scattered all around the Phoenix Metro area.

Did we mention golf?  And, of course, our favorite, mini-golf.

Festivals abound in Arizona.  Try the Renaissance Festival in February and March for the ultimate medieval experience.  Also in February, the 57th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horseshow and Shopping Expo at WestWorld Feb. 16th thru 26th.  And in March: the Chandler Ostrich Festival, rated one of the top 10 festivals in the country. There are also hot air balloon festivals in Phoenix and several companies that offer hot air balloon rides.

Take a cruise on the Dolly Steamboat on beautiful Canyon Lake, located in the heart of the Superstition Mountains and about an hour and a half drive from Westgate. Nature cruises, a twilight dinner cruise, and an astronomy cruise are available and the drive through the Superstition Mountains makes this trip especially worthwhile.

Phoenix is a really big city, so whatever you're looking for, you're going to be able to find it here.  Well, okay....maybe not SNOW!  Or really big mountains!  Or the ocean.  But except for that stuff, it's all here.  And Ace n' Willy's is centrally located near Loop 101 & Glendale Avenue, so nothing is ever very far away.

vacation rental rates

At Ace n' Willy's, we think fun should be affordable.  That's why we don't charge cleaning fees.  And we do our best to keep our rates low all year 'round.

We also like to keep things simple, so we don't ask you to sign a contract.  That means if you need to cancel your reservation at any time, for any reason, we refund your money - every penny of it - in full.  We know it's a crazy concept, but it works.

And we think refundable security deposits are a hassle, so we don't do them.  Instead, we charge a non-refundable insurance fee of $59 that protects you and us.  It's like buying damage insurance, so neither one of us has to worry.  We think that's fair, and we believe you will, too.

A couple of other things:  Ace n' Willy's is a smoke-free establishment, but there's a table, a couple of chairs, and a man-sized ashtray on the outdoor balcony for your convenience.

Ace n' Willy's isn't just for guys - women and children are welcome, too.  Even teenagers. But please don't bring your pets.

So okay...here are our low rates:

2-night minimum stay:

We're running a special in April & May: Stay 2 or more nights and pay just $99/nite. Plus we'll help you get your party started with a goodie basket valued at $25!

September thru January:  $150/night.  $950/week.  $2,000/month.

It's Spring Training, Baby!! February & March:  $160/night. $1,000/week.

Some like it hot!! June thru August:  $89/night.  $650/week.  $1,500 month.

Unfortunately, we no longer accept  goats, chickens, small children, or teenagers as payment; however, we cheerfully accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal checks, money orders, and cold, hard cash.
