Hacienda Petac's extraordinary setting is complimented by a staff of 23 who create a warm,
welcoming environment. They provide all household services, and attend to guests’ touring needs.
Rooms and services are comparable to a luxury class resort. Meals are regional specialties, served
at times and preferences set by guests, and are included in the rental.

The Casa Principal has been restored to act as an anchor for the
hacienda’s daily gatherings. Moorish arches, tiled porches and
15 foot ceilings welcome guests into the home’s main salon, dining
room, kitchen, bar, library and private chapel.

In one building of the former henequen (sisal) factory you’ll find
two very large and distinctive private bedrooms, with spacious baths
and 20ft ceilings.

The factory buildings continue with a 1,200sq ft salon with a pool
table, ping-pong and an assortment of games. In an annex,
accessed through an arched passageway, is a third private
bedroom suite with a dramatic ceiling treatment,spectacular bathroom
and an outdoor dipping pool.

At the Mayordomo House, located near the swimming pool, the
temptation is to linger on the shady porch connecting these two
tranquil bedrooms - one with a surprising twist on a Yucatecan
tradition.

Finally, tucked amid palm trees and ferns is the swimming pool
designed to allow for a relaxing day in the sun or a shaded nap
in a hammock. The waterfalls and lily ponds that accent the
landscaped grounds provide a cooling serenity to this 200acre
property. Add the sound of the Mot-Mot birds and pigmy owls that
appear daily and you’ve discovered the Petac experience.

Unfortunately, due to its original stone pathways, Hacienda
Petac is not well suited for the physically challenged. Similarly,
for their own safety, children under the age of 8 must be monitored
closely.
