Hi Mark & Kathy,

We were vacationing in your lovely home from 7/5 to 7/12/08. “Fun in the Sun” was perfect for us. Your home has it all… It had some much space and decks for us to enjoy. It's quiet, clean, and just a very short distance to the beach; and still only four homes away from the Community Rec Center. The walk down Schooner Ridge drive left us right in the heart of the town of Duck right across the street from the new Duck Park and its soundside Boardwalk. You thought of nearly everything. Your pool, hot tub, “super” decks and Tiki bar are terrific. The screened-in porch on the third floor provided us our late-night refuge while the kids swim in the pool below. The sea breeze and the night stars were so incredibly relaxing. We have always booked our family vacation Corolla.... Never again!!! We are now Duck (and Schooner Ridge) converts and love vacationing at Fun in the Sun" best of all! Perhaps we'll be lucky enough to be back together again next year for some more “Fun in the Sun” nest year. Thank you so much for everything this was the best vacation ever!. We love your place it has everything imaginable!

Fourth of July Vacation

What a great place to stay. This was our fourth summer vacation at this house that included two other families for a total of 11 people and sometimes more. So much room that at times you have to actually look for someone. Every room has their own bath, tv and closet space. The family room has enough room for the entire household to gather and unwind after a day at the beach and sit at the dinner table. For larger crowds there is the smaller dinner table for an additional 6 people. Then still one more table for an additional 4. The kitchen is large enough for several cooks to work. Then there is the ice machine on the top floor that never seems to run out. Down on the ground floor there is another family room with the video games, refrigerator and microwave and yet another bottomless ice machine that was great for loading up the cooler before walking down to the beach. Out by the pool there is the 3rd refrigerator that comes in handy for the beverages at the bar and for the foods that need to stay chilled while the grills get fired up. Whenever we returned from the beach, using the outdoor showers provided a great way to clean up before either jumping in the pool or using the hot tub. The proximity to the clubhouse that has both indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and gym is another huge plus. Across the street from the neighborhood is the farmers market and a fresh seafood store for the catch of the day that we included with every dinner. We stayed what was supposedly the busiest week of the season but by bringing all our essentials with us we never had to worry about traffic. A real relaxing and fun week. The owner does a great job in making sure you have a clean house with everything you need and they make themselves accessible. We won't even look at another house. Looking forward to our next stay.

Family Reunion

We had 16, 8 adults and 8 Grandchidren. Fun In the Sun Is just that If you cannot have a good time here than you may as well stay home. Well equiped and plenty of sleeping accomodations to take care of all. Easy walk to a wonderful beach with life guards on duty. The extra's were the fact you also have privy to a private club for fitness and leisure. Duck Is a wonderful little town that gives you the opportunity to shop and enjoy some of Ducks fine resturants. A week was not enough to enjoy all that Duck and Fun In The Sun have to offer.
