My husband and I went with a couple friends to Beech to get away for a long weekend. We had a great time. The cabin is very well kept and comfortable. Everything you could need full kitchen, cofy beds, great frieplace and a fenced in yard for our 4 legged friend. We will definetly rent again. Crystal was great at accomodating our reservation request last minute.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Filthy and overpriced

While Beech Mountain is a great place to visit- take my advice and DO NOT stay at this rental. It was absolutely filthy. The bathrooms were never cleaned after the last guests. Toilets were so bad I had at clean them upon arrival. Pet food was scattered on the living room floor. Floors and small rugs were covered with dirt and clearly not swept and vaccumed. Not what you want to walk into after a 5 hour drive and arriving late at night. Cable was not working all weekend either. For the price of this very rustic cabin (not chalet) I would at least expect it to be clean. Owners offered to get their housecleaner to clean it again the following morning. Again? No Way! If this is what the housecleaner calls a clean rental unit, I would rather clean it myself! I was told by the owners that the last guests staying there was supposed to clean it before leaving and she didn't check it. Yuck! I am sure the sheets were never changed since the owners expect guests to strip the beds, wash and dry them and make beds before checking out at 11 am. My advice to the owners- hire a new housekeeper or be responsible and check on your rentals before a guest arrives since you live and work in the community.

Wonderful Chalet!

This little house was wonderful! It was stocked graciously with pots, pans, silverware and everything else you could ever need (wine glasses, champagne flutes!) We had noticed a problem with the refrigerator on the very first day of our weeklong stay, and the owner drove from his home (which is an hour away) and came with a new refrigerator, installed it, and the problem was solved! VERY responsive owners! They are LOVELY! While he was installing our new fridge, he told us of great restaurants and things to do. The house had brochures with sights and tourist attractions so we were able to find out information on zip-lining and have a very fun day trip! VERY close to Beech Mountain, we came to this area for the Gnarnia music festival and this chalet was within walking distance (it was even closer than the camping grounds the festival providing for people with tents!) I cannot rave about this place enough. If you need a place to stay in Beech Mountain, STAY HERE!
