Located on a narrow stretch of Captiva Island with gulf to bay access, you have only to cross the two lane road (30 ft.) to reach the beach.  The sunset views will take your breath away in this professionally remodeled Gulf front complex.  Luxury awaits you with 2320 sq. ft. of living space. Ammenities include four flat screen televisions, four DVD players, Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations, and a washer/dryer. Two of the three bedrooms feature a screened veranda with gorgeous views, and each reflects a soothing beach décor. The Main level is complete with a bedroom with a King Bed, a huge master bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a Sleeper Sofa is located in the Den. The two bedrooms upstairs offer a King Bed with a beautiful gulf view and a second bedroom with a Full Bed and an extra long Twin bed, and a screened tile porch.  We rent from Saturday to Saturday, and the maximum occupancy is 8 people.  Sorry, no pets allowed.

Donax was extremely spacious and comfortable for 7 people, we had plenty of room to spread out. The fact that the property was literally across from the beach was wonderful and we could go back and forth easily if we needed something. The pictures and description were very accurate as to what the townhome was really like. I would definitely consider staying at this property again and recommend it to anyone who wanted to be close to the beach. Tonette was extremely helpful and answered my multiple questions over the months leading up to our trip. We easily walked into the village from this property, we walked on the road to the village one day and took the beach back. The shelling is fabulous and we got lost for hours doing so. My only concern would not be for the owners but the cleaning crew that comes through. The kitchen and utensils were worn and dirty as these had not been thoroughly cleaned after recent use. We called Royal Shell to come in and go over the bathroom floor and showers needed some work. The Royal Shell employee told us that the property was due for a more thorough cleaning. When we called them they acted promptly to try to resolve the issues. Overall the experience was wonderful and I would recomend this property to anyone wanting a slightly more upscale roomy experience.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Perfect Get-Away

This place was simply by far the best vacation our family has ever taken. I am not one who enjoys crowded places and I was concerned the island would be full of tourists. I was pleasantly surprised. It really felt like our own little piece of paradise. The locals were so friendly and helpful. I most enjoyed dining at the local "pub" The Pink Flamingo. You must have one of their grilled Grouper sandwiches! We were pleased at how well maintained the property was, inside and out. It is modern, but very relaxing and feels like home. The pool and hot tub looked new too. The best part was to step out to the beach within feet of our driveway. We spent a lot of time walking the beach. We also enjoyed visiting the island of Sanibel, just miles from our villa. It seemed like we were definitely on island time while there. I would recommend this place to all!
