vacation rental description

A central location in Traverse City; surrounded by Adventure Parks, restaurants, shopping and golf!  Play in the area at our many local attractions, or enjoy relaxing and taking advantage of the pure sandy beach on East Bay, watercraft rentals, outdoor heated pool and spa (seasonal)...right at your condo!

We are surrounded by lakes in Northern Michigan, so having an outdoor (seasonal) pool is...well rare..let alone being on the water itself.

Take advantage of "rare" and make this your vacation home (away from home)!

* Ask us about our "joining" condo's as we can connect  two units with one group that will accommodate up to 8 people!

Additional photo's and information can be found on tavronline.

condo rental amenities

This condo features one bedroom with a queen size bed and TV, and a large bathroom with an in-room Whirlpool tub set in Cultured Marble for relaxing.  Tastefully decorated in beach blue hues, the living room faces East Bay and has large windows to take advantage of every second of amazing waterfront views; in addition, the living room houses a sofa sleeper for additional sleeping.  The kitchen and dining areas are open to the living room...and the views; the kitchen is completely stocked with everything that you need for dining and entertaining.

A first floor walk-out patio anticipates spending the morning with both you and your coffee...

Or, perhaps you take a few more steps outside your condo and walk for a bit on the beach and listen to the occasional sound of a trolling motor.  The beach is one of the "best", pure sand; great for sand castles!  Sit in a cabana and sip on a cocktail...you're on vacation.  Perhaps you may enjoy wind surfing or jet skiing for an hour or two?  Want a change of pace, but not into "adventure"; lounge by the heated pool or spa (seasonal) located just around the corner from your unit.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of summer!

traveler reviews for this traverse city condo rental

Just ok

edowns88 (Lowell, MI)
Review submitted: July 7, 2012   Date of arrival: July 1, 2012

My husband and I decided to rent this place for our first vacation as a family with our 7.5 month old. When we first walked in, we were thrilled with the condo. However, once we started unpacking I started noticing the years of abuse this condo must have taken. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just seemed somewhat dirty. Surface cleaning was ok, but if you examined crooks and crannies, there was definite filth. The bed spread and some of the pillows on the couch had red drink stains on them. Speaking of the bed and couch, both were in rough shape and reminded me of something that might be picked up at a second hand store. I spent the majority of the time worried about bed bugs and plan on washing absolutely everything that came with us and drying it in high heat before leaving. The towels were damp upon arrival and fortunately I had brought our own bath towels. There are no beach towels in the condo, so ensure you bring your own.

The condo also had a sense of 'party' environment going on. There was a large group who was quite loud the first night. It was questionable as to if there was underage drinking going on as well. You will hear absolutely everything in this 1st floor condo from neighbors on all sides. I used the bath daily for the baby and it took several minutes just to get a few inches of water in it. As for the kitchen, the dishwasher was sub-par. Bring your own dish brush to scrub!

Last irritating thing that happened is the closed the pool for an analysis - on the hottest day of the year, just as people were arriving for Cherry Festival.

I personally feel the amount we paid for this condo some of these things should have been better. After coming off a year where my husband and I stayed at both the Grand/Sugar Beach Resorts, this place kind of disappointed me. The access to the beach and pool cannot be beat, especially if you have a small child. Make sure you reserve your chairs because almost everyone puts their towels out hours in advance (and often doesn't use them).

Though this review may seem like a rant, my husband, son and I did have some wonderful memories. My son got to experience a pool and beach for the first time. The baby monitor had enough range so my husband and I could sit at the edge of this property while baby napped.

It met our needs, I was honestly hoping for higher quality items inside.
