Magic Cabin at Fool Hollow Lake in Show Low

Friends and family who visit from far and wide say the home and location is magical; they wake up recalling vivid dreams they have never experienced before. We think it is due to the stories of the Apaches riding the ridge in the forest behind the house and the town of Adair buried under Fool Hollow Lake. 

2 minutes on foot and you are at the lakes edge through the back gate. The street ends at the lake with only 1 neighbor and forest to the front and back, providing the utmost in privacy and a serene view from our huge wraparound screen porch. Bring your kayak or fishing rods, enjoy the 3 miles of trails through Fool Hollow State Park and watch out for the elk!

Binoculars Available for bird and wildlife watching * havelina, elk, bear, kingfishers, hummingbirds and ringtails, we have left binoculars and guidebooks there for your use at the home
Board Games Galore await you and your fellow vacationers - play all night on the screened porch; Trivial Pursuit, CLUE, Scrabble, Pictionary, Poker, Rubics Cube !
Big Screen TV with limited Dish Satellite - DVD player available and a variety of in house DVD's in the TV corner
Library Available which is extensive {and stationary} - enjoy while you visit with us please
Bedrooms offer a king in each, one with a private full bath, the second has a full bath across the hall **** please advise if you require linens and towels or if you plan on bringing your own - they are available but sometimes it is easier to pack your own
Wireless Verizon is the best in this area of the mountains - there is Not any connection available at the house
Parking is ample in the drive to the right of the house
New Propane BBQ Grill is available outside
Fireplace is not available - sorry

Fool Hollow Lake  is just outside our house to the left, under/over the gate which is opened if the creek overflows for safer ingress and egress to our home. Fool Hollow is a state park with a huge fishing lake for 10hp or less. Pristine, gorgeous, large enough extending into the Show Low Creek providing a great work out if you like to kayak. Plenty of room to trailer up with your kayaks or small boats in our driveway.

Cycling Trails are completed throughout Show Low providing smooth cycling or running to the SLCity Park and Aquatic Center for other activities snow or sun.

Bison Golf is a 5 minute drive to our west down Old Linden, hit the drive or try their course - it is open to the public and reasonable. This is one of 5 golf courses available to our visitors.

Sunrise Ski Resort is a 40 minute drive south through Pinetop, past the Hondah Casino and past Hawley Lake - no lines, great prices - plenty of tough runs.

Picasso's Olive Oil * Eddie's Country Store Apple Smoked Salmon * Wine Tastings * The Branding Iron * Cooking Classes through Blue Apron * Moseman's Metal Werks gallery and crafts gift shop, classes to learn how to weld for the purposes of art, are a few of the special treats available on our magic mountain.

Fees: Non-refundable $100 cleaning fee
        $59 non-refundable insurance (see property damage link)
Pets: Limited to 2 house trained dogs; please clean up mud/stains/etc. or our crew will charge extra, pets must be leashed and accompanied outside for their safety due to the bears and javelina. Not a joke.
Terms for Booking over 2+ months in advance: Non-refundable $200 of total bill due at time of booking committment; can be applied in total toward rescheduled dates. Remaining bill due a minimum of 45 days in advance. Life happens, typically I hold this until you are about to check in.
