This authentic  log cabin, "Trout Retreat" is located just fifteen minutes outside of Boone (just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy) and are situated in a postcard like setting on 21 beautiful acres with nearly 1/2 mile of stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabins. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. The relaxing sound of the rushing stream and waterfalls (there is a 60 ft waterfall a short hike away) can be heard throughout the property, and there is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, and birds. There is also another cabin on the property that can be rented together or individually which makes them ideal for anything from a honeymoon or romantic weekend to a large family or multi family vacation. The main cabin, "Trout Retreat", has a private hot tub, two full baths,a king bed, and a sleeper sofa and sleeps 2-4. The cabin has a full kitchen with all the utensils, linens, and towels necessary
to make your stay comfortable. There is a large screened porch decks that overlook the stream with picnic tables where you can have a unique dining experience or simply sit and relax to the sights and sounds of the stream. There is also gas fireplace to create a warm and cozy atmoshere. These cabins offer privacy with easy access in a setting that is
unique and picturesque.

Excellent fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicing, and
campfires are all available on the property. Horseback riding within
10 minutes at Leatherwood stables. Downtown Boone is a short 15
minute drive and Blowing Rock is a 30 minute drive both of which
provide excellent dining and shopping. Golf, Tweetsie Railroad, gem
mines, many antique shops, fly fishing, hunting, mountain biking,
white water rafting, atv trails, and 4 ski areas are all within a 30-
45 minute drive.

Trout Retreat $150.00 per night (2 night min.) $800 per week
