traveler reviews for this seattle house rental

Loved it, recommend for any and all!

Review submitted: April 21, 2014   Date of arrival: April 16, 2014

This home and location surpassed my expectations. It was surprisingly spacious for a 2 bedroom ranch - rooms were on the large side, especially the bathrooms which were also in great condition. Not only is it in beautiful Magnolia but it's basically the best corner of that neighborhood with water views and right by the bridge to Seattle, and only a short stroll to Magnolia Village. The house is also well maintained and very well stocked compared to the majority of rental properties - the only thing missing was soap! (but fortunately I had packed a bar) The owner was lovely to work with. I would return in a heartbeat. My only other note is that the basement bedroom, though extremely comfortable, does not have a door - this could be a privacy issue depending on your group.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: Hi Michelle, so glad you had a great time! Sorry about the soap! In addition to the shampoo & shower soap under the sinks, each arriving guest is to receive a bar of organic goat milk soap in each bathroom. I apologize if our caretaker ran out & will make sure she has a new supply.
There is no door to the stairway that leads to the basement suite. The suite is still private, but yes, visitors to the basement suite should announce themselves or knock : ) we hope you're able to visit again! Lynn

Perfect Home For Families!!

Review submitted: April 17, 2014   Date of arrival: April 10, 2014

This location for visiting Seattle is fabulous. The surrounding homes and spring gardens are beautiful and the Magnolia neighborhood is centrally located between downtown and Ballard. Perfect! The home itself is well equipped with a large living room and plenty of space to accommodate our extended family of nine. The bathrooms are updated and modern. The view is tremendous from the kitchen, office area and the master bedroom. We especially enjoyed watching the pair of Eagles every morning and evening who nest at Magnolia Park just west of the house. Thank you for providing your house. Great memories were made!

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Owners response: HI Terry,
So glad that you enjoyed your stay! We love being with family and love watching the puget sound from the windows. Lots to do in Magnolia a very family friendly place to be. We are glad that you enjoyed it as much as we do! Hope you can come back again. Cheers!

Comfortable and gracious Magnolia home

Review submitted: April 6, 2014   Date of arrival: March 27, 2014

SeaEscape is a lovely mid-century home in one of Seattle's nicest neighborhoods. The house is attractively and sufficiently furnished to suit a family or two or three couples. The listing and photos accurately describe the property. The house is spacious and well equipped with linens, family games etc. The kitchen is a little dated but was very nice to work in and met our needs well. The bathrooms are beautifully updated and all furnishings were quite elegant. Several members of my family stayed at the house over a long weekend while attending my daughter's wedding at nearby Shilshole Marina. The location is great for spending time in Ballard and Magnolia has a great small village center. Beautiful views of Elliot Bay and Puget Sound are all around and there is a wonderful small park very close by. The owner and caretaker were very responsive and pleasant to work with. The property is well maintained and very clean. All in all a terrific experience and I highly recommend the property.

Owners response: Dear Yvonne,
Thank you for the eloquent review! We are so glad you enjoyed SeaEscape, the furnishings & views. I never tire of the mountain & marine view, it changes daily with light, weather, boat traffic. True Puget Sound! Hope you can visit again! Cheers, Lynn
