Ski-in, Ski-Out Cabin Along Stream in Government Camp! in Mount Hood

This beautiful cabin in the woods sits on a small river with a foot bridge crossing! The cabin is a cross country ski in /ski out option in the winter from November-April and you can drive in the rest of the year. The cross country skiing is about 2 1/2 miles in and out so prepare to spend 2 hours skiing to the house and 2 hours to ski out to get back to your car.

Once you reach the house, it is the perfect winter wonderland! The historic cabin sits on the original homestead that was built in 1932 and has remained a peaceful escape from the busy modern world. The cross country ski trails lead you to Trillium Lake and some great Mt Hood vistas and the river that runs along the side of the house offers a soothing sound year round.

The main level of the house is the second floor. You enter the house from the large front deck and it opens to a large living space with a TV and a wood stove. The open floor plan leads to the dining room with seven seats and a fully stocked kitchen that is perfect for preparing all of your meals once your arrive.

The main floor contains the master bedroom with queen sized bed, as well as two full bathrooms.

The other two bedrooms are on the lower level and both feature views of the river to the south. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed.

The loft area on the upper level of the house features a large open space with a queen bed and two twins. It is a great area for kids and adults alike and there is a game table with four chairs to pass the time on winter nights.

The truly unique location of this home offers an escape like none other and the cabin is perfect for those with a sense of adventure who love to get away from the stress of life. The cabin also has wifi so you can stay connected if you need to.

This property is limited to no more than 6 adults and 4 children (12 or younger) as guests. There is a $10 per person per night fee for each guest beyond 4. A pet may also be permitted, but there will be a deposit and PRIOR permission is required. There is a limit of 3 cars allowed when driving in is an option. Please call us with questions.
