we really enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful house , the layout of the house is very functional and the outdoor area is perfect for entertainment .
it was a fantastic week for us.

Recommended for: age 55+, romantic getaway

Great Location, house needs a little TLC

Two families stayed in this house for three nights in April. The location is very good, right on Ocean Blvd/1A and Atlantic Dunes Park (with public access to the beach) about about a half of a block away. The outdoor spaces of the home, which not large, are very nice. There is a medium sized rectangular pool right off the back of the house. It has a small porch off the back with a 8 person table that allows you to sit outside in the shade. There is a very large outdoor bar with granite counters and several stools. It has a kegerator (was empty unfortunately), small fridge, ice cube maker and a huge grill (we didn't use).

The inside of the house is just OK. The four bedrooms are all pretty large and have three double beds and one king bed (owner told me over the phone it had two kings, a queen and a double). The king bed was very hard. The other bedrooms have a mish match of furniture and sheets that appear to have been collected from rummage sales. The upkeep of the house is poor. The carpet up the stairs and on the second floor was in terrible shape and dirty. The bathrooms showed signs of age, grout was dirty and two of the toilet paper holders where broken. There were several light bulbs that were out and the blinds in the master were broken. The small lawn in front hadn't been mowed in weeks and the plants around the house were all overgrown and in need of serious trimming. Only the TV in the living room had a satellite box, even though there TVs in the bedrooms. The silverware was cheap and dirty and we rewashed most of it before using it. Overall our impression was that the house was not very clean.

The house has a big (50"?) TV with satellite in the family room. Also, the house has an intercom and speaker system that allowed us to play a radio station and have it play throughout the house and outside which we enjoyed a lot. The fridge in the kitchen was nice sized and the appliances were good. The washer and dryer worked great for us and was very convenient.

Overall the house doesn't present like a professional rental; there is not welcome information/guide, the light switches aren't labeled and I had to work to get information from the owner about check in/out policies, how to get the house keys, etc. Nevertheless, the house had a ton of potential due to it's location relative to the ocean and outdoor spaces. If the owner could clean up a few things and take better care of the property this could be a great rental!
