Gorgeous House in Punta Mita, Mexico

My wife and I chose to go to Punta Mita, Mexico for our honeymoon, and found this extraordinary house in the private enclave of Punta Mita. It was certainly too much house for two people... but hey, it was a honeymoon! Four well-appointed bedrooms, especially the master that had windows that wrap around the building and overlook the Punta Mita Bahia golf course. It's hard to come back to our own bathroom after the massive, two-sink bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a huge walk in shower.

The living area was stunning, a long open area adjoining the thoroughly modern kitchen that had everything we needed to cook (since we had the house, we didn't want to eat out all the time). Of course there's wireless and satellite TV, though the majority of stations are in Spanish.

Perhaps our favorite touch is the line of 6 sliding glass doors that span the entire living area, which you can push back to turn the outside area and the indoor living area into one great big living space. The hot tub was directly on the patio, and there was a nice pool to relax in (it's only about 3 1/2 feet deep, so it's not for lap swimming, but after a long day in the sun, it's perfect).

The rental company helped us with everything we needed, whether it was bike rentals or just helpful information about where to eat (the manager turned us on to the best restaurant in town, Rosa's).

My wife and I spent the entire time saying we could see living here, and during the low season of late summer, there was NO ONE around, which made it even better. It rains a bit in the late afternoon (about every other day), but since we're from Los Angeles, this was a plus rather than a minus. Sitting in the hot tub in the warm, drizzly rain is one of the more romantic experiences I've had in my life.

I can't say enough about this place - thanks so much, Vallarta Rentals!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
