Soak up the peace and power of the North Umpqua River in all its year-round moods from the comfort of the living room, with no humans in sight and an old-growth forest backdrop.  This custom house is perched on a high wooded riverbank over a pool and rapids with old-growth forest lining the opposite side.  Salmon, steelhead, and trout are in the river year-round, and the house front features the rich bright colors of a fresh salmon fillet.  Eagles and osprey fly by at eye-level.

Excellent for a stay-cation right on the river, but also a good home-base for day-trips -- centrally located between Crater Lake National Park and many Pacific Ocean beach parks (1.5 hours to each).  Wine country, antique shops, waterfall hikes, Steamboat Inn, and Diamond Lake are within an hours drive.  Two hours to the nearest commercial airport in Eugene, OR.
