Beautiful condo in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal

Lovely apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. We spent a great deal of time exploring Montreal districts/neighborhoods and really never found one that was nicer! Also, Brigitte, the owner's assistant, was extremely welcoming and helpful, providing all sorts of advice on things to see around the city and the best Metro lines to get us there. There are a lot of stairs to get into this apartment, so please make sure you are fit enough to handle that. Also, this apartment is above a clinic, so they politely ask that you not make a lot of noise during the day. If that's OK with you (and it probably is fine for most people over the age of 12), this is a terrific place to stay. The kitchen has good pans (a bonus, if you visit the AMAZING Jean-Talon market), the laundry facilities in-unit are great to have, and the bathroom is quite nice. A short walk to the Metro was also nice, since we did all of our exploring through Metro and walking. I would gladly stay here again.

If you want a great meal in the neighborhood, try Bier & Compagnie (mussels a zillion ways). A little further out, the curry poutine at Chef Guru was a blast, and of course there's the traditional Montreal smoked meat - The Main is not so touristy as its competitor across the street and the matzoh soup is good. In Old Montreal, Bremner is a fantastic splurge - just be sure to make reservations.

Finally, we really don't speak French and our phrase book was terrible. However, I started each conversation with "Bonjour. Is English OK?" and never had a negative response. Everyone was lovely.

Loved, Loved, Loved this apartment and the neighborhood. Very comfortable leather furniture. The newly renovated bathroom was fabulous! Towels were so large and soft, made me decide, I need new towels as I shouldn't have to go away to have such fine things in my life. Bed was extremly comfortable! I would highly recommend this choice.

A Gem in Mont Royal

My three friends and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. The owner maintained good communication with me before we arrived and we were greeted by his assistant, Brigitte, who couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful.She spent time with us showing us the apartment and then was kind enough to write down directions to such things as bakeries, and restaurants - things we asked her about. We loved the apartment. The bathroom has been beautifully renovated and the rest of the place was clean and well-maintained. The location is AWESOME! In a great neighborhood teeming with restaurants, stores and overall charm. It is only a couple of blocks from the subway making all of Montreal easily accessible.I must say though,that after wandering through Old Montreal and seeing the shops of St. Catherine Street, when we got off the Metro at Mont Royal and walked "home" we turned to each other and said, "But this place is great? Why did we leave it???!"I would absolutely recommend this property to a friend.
