Enjoy your family getaway on beautiful Bay Lake.  Just a few hours north from the Twin Cities brings you to the heart of the lakes area.  Bay Lake is a 2,435 acre lake filled with bays, points and islands and is one of the top bass fishing lakes in Minnesota.  With its many bays, Bay Lake is safe on the windiest of days. Remember to pack your favorite lures and poles.

The three bedroom, air-conditioned split level lake home (2,324 Sq Ft) has all the comforts of home.  Sleeps six with room enough for ten if bringing portable cribs and airbeds.  Three private bedrooms: One master suite with a queen bed, one bedroom with twin beds and a downstairs bedroom with a double bed.  Three bathrooms include two with bathtubs/showers and the downstairs bath has a shower.  Amenities include a washer and dryer, bedding, and towels, a kitchen fully stocked with cookware and dishes, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, hand mixer and toaster.  Spacious living room and dining area and separate family room on the lower level.   Sorry – No Pets or smoking allowed!

The lakeshore is just a few steps away (about 350 ft) with a short walk across the road to a public easement.  Kids can enjoy the shallow sandy swim area with a gradual slope and no drop off.  Enjoy the large backyard for family games and a patio for relaxing and grilling.  A Weber charcoal grill is provided, but don’t forget to bring the charcoal. There is also a fire pit on the hillside for bon fires.

Driveway has plenty of space for boat/trailer parking.  The public access for boat launching is just 3 miles away.  Need to rent a boat?  Bay Lake Marine offers affordable rentals and is located across the bay next to the public access launch.  Bay Lake Camp/Church Island pontoon shuttle is just a mile or so down the road.  Take the pontoon shuttle to the island and enjoy outdoor church services, open to the public, held each Sunday during the summer. 

The Brainerd Lakes area offers something for everyone:  Heartland Hockey camp is just 6 miles away.  Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota’s premier Walleye factory, is a short 10 minute drive and 20 minutes from Mille Lacs Grand Casino.  A variety of golf courses, tennis courts, restaurants, movies, antique shops, amusement parks, miniature golf courses, museums, and shopping are all a short drive away.  Enjoy the world class 25-mile mountain bike trails, covering 800 acres in the Cuyuna’s County State Recreation Area near Crosby.  Other activities in the Cuyuna’s County State Recreation Area include scuba diving and fishing for Rainbow and Brook Trout.  Into auto racing?  Brainerd International Raceway is just 30 minutes away.  Take a short 1 1/2 hour drive to Duluth on Lake Superior to see the large orr boats come in on the ship canal and tour the famous lighthouses of Two Harbors and Split Rock.

Suggestions to bring:  CDs, DVDs, food and drinks, storage containers for left overs, dish & hand soap, laundry soap, shampoo/personal toiletries, beach towels, sun screen, life jackets, water toys, fishing equipment, insect spray, picnic items (napkins, paperplates, plastic silverware), charcoal and BBQ utensils.  Bring cameras and binoculars to view the beautiful loons and bald eagles.

2 Night Minimum Stay - Please note Cleaning fees are included in rentals for a week or longer.  Less than a week rental will have an additional $100 cleaning fee added to rental fees.

$500 reservation/damage & security deposit required.  The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival.  The deposit will NOT be applied towards rent; however, it is fully refundable within 14 days of check-out, provided the following provisions are met:

a.  No damage is done to home, its contents, or the property beyond normal wear and tear.

b.  All trash is placed in refuse containers by side of garage.

c.  All dishes, pots, pans, etc. are clean.

d. No missing remote controls or other personal property.

e. No towels or linens are lost or damaged.

f.  No late check-out and house is left locked.

g. No signs of pets or smoking.

**If damage exceeds the amount of the security/damage deposit, the renter is responsible for the cost of repairs
