D is our showcase rental for business and vacation travelers, with up to three bedrooms and three baths, a full, updated kitchen, accommodations for up to eight people.  You'll find the Heart of the Village a relaxing oasis in the midst of marvelous shopping, dining and entertainment venues.  And our rates?  Among the lowest in the area.  Note that the rates shown are for three bedrooms and three baths.  Smaller configurations are discounted.

The Heart of the Village provides everything you need for a most enjoyable and relaxing visit.  A complete kitchen, laundry facilities, and large patio with outdoor shower, are just some of the many features you'll appreciate.

The Heart of the Village is situated in Carlsbad's "Village” district in coastal southern California. With its homes, shops and restaurants, this older downtown area has maintained its small town charm while providing modern amenities.  Stay close to home and visit antiques shops, art galleries, boutiques of every description.  An 8 minute drive south takes you to Legoland California and the famous Carlsbad Flower Fields.  A little further down the road you'll find the Del Mar Racetrack, Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. Meanwhile, the Pacific Ocean with miles of sandy beach is a short walk away.

While parking is provided, a car is optional.  Virtually everything you need is within walking distance.  But if you want to leave town, many southern California points of interest are accessible by rail and trolley.  The nearby Coaster commuter train connects to Amtrak to the north, and to the San Diego Trolley and bus systems to the south.  Along the way are stops at some fun-filled beach communities.

The apartment is configurable with 1,2 or 3 bedrooms and 2 or 3 bathrooms.  The $990 weekly rate shown is for the 3 bedroom, 3 bath setup during the off-season (sleeps up to 8).  Subtract $100 per week for the two bedroom, two bath configuration (sleeps up to 5).  Subtract $200 for the 1 bedroom model (sleeps up to 3).
