Quaint Beach Cottage with Dock in Anna Maria Island

Relaxing on the front porch of this charming cottage, you will find
the Manatee Bay to your right (with a dock) and the Gulf of Mexico to
your left (with a beautiful beach), each only 100 steps away! This
"Old Florida style" home is located at the narrow southern end of Anna
Maria Island. On our dock, you can sip coffee at sunrise, fish, watch
the dolphins and manatees, and tie up your boat (boat rentals are available nearby). Stroll barefoot to the Gulf to catch sunsets... on the "local" section of the beach, which is seldom crowded because it's such a well-kept secret.

The cottage is turnkey furnished, including beach chairs and a BBQ
grill. With a huge screened porch in front and a large deck in the
rear yard, this home is ideal for outdoor living. There's even an
extra shower outside the back door (with hot water!)

Built in 1949 and lovingly renovated, the cottage has a vintage flair -- a tin roof, a clawfoot bathtub with shower, stained-glass decorative windows, and lots of antique furnishings. Our latest remodeling project was upgrading the kitchen with new appliances (stove, fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker) and new tile floor, plus new carpet in the bedrooms and living room. The yard is fully fenced and lushly landscaped. The area is quiet and less "tourist-y" than many of the Island neighborhoods. Most of our neighbors are fulltime residents whom we have known for 23 years. All homes are very well-kept.

All the typical Island activities are available within a few blocks:
para-sailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, charter fishing, etc. Boat
rentals range from kayaks to catamarans to offshore powerboats. Dockage is free with your cottage rental! 

Or just go beach-combing. This is a very low-key, laid-back
environment. No fast food. No high-rises. Instead of coat-and-tie
dining, enjoy shoes-and-shirt restaurants!

OFF-SEASON begins May 1st: $600/wk for 2 weeks or longer; $700 for 1 week, except $800 for Holiday weeks (Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day).
