Any extra cars can park at Salt Pond clubhouse, 3 blocks from house

Located close to Delaware Seashore State Park Atlantic Ocean beach with plenty of parking and amenities, including life guards, restrooms, showers, snack bar, and umbrella rentals.  You can also walk to the beach as there is a sidelwalk along Fred Hudson Hwy.

Also located near bay beaches where children can swim in the calm waters and where jet-ski rentals and wind surfing equipment is available

House is located in country club community of Salt Pond.

Within walking distance, 3 blocks from the house, there is an 18-hole golf course,

indoor and outdoor pools, baby pool, indoor jacuzzi, playground, indoor exercise room, locker room,

tennis courts,

House has plenty of fine china and cookware to serve 28 guests, including two refrigerators for storing food for large groups

Linens and towels are in house but will need to be washed by tenant prior to departure

Family room has large-screen high-definition cable TV with premium channels, blue-ray DVD player that gets free Netflix movies, organ/piano, and powerful stereo player.  Many DVDs are stored in house.

Family room has 2 wicker queen-sized sleeper couches, a leather couch, 2 large leather arm chairs, 2 children's rocking chairs, 2 coffee tables, 2 buffet cabinets, organ, stereo player, TV, and 2 dining tables (that seat 14 people)

Kitchen is large and has dining table for 8 people

Every room has a cable TV and DVD player 

Two Wireless internet services come to house, including one Mediacom password-protected and one Verizon non-password protected service.  This ensures that there is always internet service available.

All king-sized beds can be pulled apart to make twin-sized beds

Some of the beds have memory foam on them to assist people with back problems

• Lighthouse museums are in Bethany Beach and Ocean City, MD
• Bethany Beach and Ocean City, MD have boardwalks.  Ocean City has many rides and Fenwick Island has a water park
• There are many night clubs for dining and dancing in the area, including Seacrets and Fagers Island in Ocean City, Harpoon Hannah's in Fenwick Island and the Rusty Rudder and Lighthouse Cove in Dewey Beach
• There are boat rides that take people out to sea to view the dolphins and there is also a large pirate ship for children in Ocean City.  There are boat tours that take people to Assageague Island for to go clamming and to see the wild ponies.
• The town of Bethany Beach has just added a lot of metered public parking along the oceanfront and downtown and has a boardwalk with restroom and snack bar facilities
• Delaware Seashore State Park (227-2800) – Located north of Bethany Beach along Delaware Route 1.  The park office and Indian River marina are located on the north side of the Indian River Inlet.  Two ocean swimming areas feature modern bathhouses with showers and changing rooms.  Lifeguards patrol the beaches from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day.  Snack foods are available at the bathhouses, and umbrellas, chairs, and rafts can be rented.
• Rehobeth Bay, at Tower Road (227-2800) – The calm bay waters are suitable for families with small children, and the beach is guarded during the summer months
• Thompson’s Island on Rehobeth Bay (277-2800) – a new addition to the park.  Located northwest of the Inlet, Thopson Island Preserve is a good example of the salt marsh habitat once common around the inland bays.
• Burton’s Island – (277-2800) short nature trail affords scenic views of the salt marshes and bay islands, where gulls and terns gather in their noisy summer nesting colonies
• Fenwick Island State Park – (539-1055 or 539-9060) Located 3 ½ miles south of Bethany Beach on Delaware Route 1.  Lifeguards patrol the swimming beach daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Park has modern bathhouse with showers, changing rooms, gift shop, snack bar, umbrellas, chairs, and rafts.  On the bay side there are boat rentals and a nice calm bay beach for children, but there is a charge for parking.
• Holts Landing State Park (free parking) (539-9060) – undiscovered, uncrowded swimming beach  – located on the southern shore of the Indian River Bay.  From Route 26, take Country Road 346 or 347 North to the park entrance.  Park has picnic pavilions for rent, new children’s playground, two ball fields, and a great bay swimming beach with shallow water that is fun for small children.  You can dig for clams in this area.  The 203-acre park is also great for hiking and biking.
• Bethany Beach Board Walk - metered parking, pay by credit card, board walk has public restroom facilities, band stand, shops, and restaurants

Departure cleaning fee is extra at $200 per stay

The pool pass is $80 and gets 20 people into the pool/tennis/exercise facility for $4 each

Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend is $600 per night plus the $200 departure cleaning fee.  Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday.

Labor Day weekend is $600 per night for 3 nights plus the $200 cleaning fee

A weekly rental in the summer would be $4,400 total, which includes the taxes, cleaning fee, free secure wireless internet, HDTV premium cable TV channels, and free Netflix movies

September and October weekends rent for $400 per night for a 3-night minimum plus the cleaning fee

Columbus Day weekend is $400 per night for 3 nights plus the $200 cleaning fee.  Check-out on Columbus Day is 7:00 PM

September and October weekly rentals (7-night minimum) rent for $300 per night plus the $200 cleaning fee

April and May are $400 per night for a 3-night minimum plus the $200 cleaning fee

Winter rates, November throught March are $350 per night for a 3-night minimum rental plus the $200 cleaning fee

All weekends are a three-night minimum rental and check-out is 7:00 PM on weekends

September and October are $400 per night for a 3-night minimum weekend rental plus the $200 cleaning fee

September weeks are $300 per night plus the $200 cleaning fee for 7 nights, Friday to Friday

Thanksgiving is $600 per night for 4-nights plus the $200 cleaning fee

Holiday rates of New Years and Christmas are $500 per night for a 3-night minimum plus the $200 cleaning fee

Any nights rented after the 3-night minimum drop back down to the Winter rates of $350 per night

A $100 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve the house, due within 10 days from the date on the rental contract.

Then the rest of the 50% deposit is due in 3 weeks from the date on the rental contract

The final 50% balance is due 5 weeks before the rental date and then the tenant will be mailed 6 house keys

You can pay with a check or money order.

If you pay with a credit card through Paypal, there is an extra 2.9% charge added to the rental rate.

People wanting to rent for only 2 nights on the weekend will be charged for a 3-night rental because the nightly rates are very low for such a large house.

These rates for a large, luxury house are very low.  Please do not ask for a discount.
