Old Salt cottage is a South facing 750 square foot Cape Cod style vacation home. Renovated in the Fall of 2011 with: Open kitchen/living/dining layout. Ceiling fans. Lots of lighting. The kitchen has full-sized appliances, a new glass top stove, and new pots and pans. All new bathroom with tiled floor. The living room has beamed ceilings and a full water view. Cable, HDTV, BlueRay DVD, and internet. Restored natural wood floors throughout. One bedroom has a new queen bed. 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds. And the 3rd bedroom has a new full bed and water view . Enclosed outdoor shower. Picnic table and gas grill facing the water.

Old Salt is located on located on Chequessett Neck, on Kendrick Ave, across the street from the westernmost end of Mayo Beach, bay side of Wellfleet. Mayo Beach was voted in TripAdvisor as a Top 10 East Coast beach - the only one in New England.  Kayak to Great Island in about 25 minutes. Secluded Great Island is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Or swim there. Or walk there at low tide. Or you can drive there in 5 minutes. 

Cape Cod National Seashore consists of miles and miles of peaceful salt marshes and secluded beaches. It is a protected area. 

From Old Salt, you can walk to Wellfleet Pier, 3 restaurants, a seafood market, a walk-up window serving burgers, fried clams & ice cream with picnic tables overlooking the water, sailboats to rent, fishing boat excursions, lobsters cooked to order, used books, an art gallery, and W.H.A.T. - Wellfleet's Live Actors Theatre - voted Best of Boston, Boston Magazine. Wednesday night, take the family to square dancing at the Pier.
From Old Salt you can also walk to a playground that has a tot area, a skateboard park, swings, a frisbee field, and tennis.

But probably the best part of the location for you will be having a beautiful sandy beach 20 steps from your front door.

Old Salt is less than a mile to Wellfleet's seaside golf course at Chequessett Yacht & Country Club. 1 mile to the historic village of Wellfleet where you'll find local fresh produce, art galleries, stores, shops, kid-friendly restaurants, historic sites, and more.  Rent a surfboard from Jack's and learn to surf the big waves at White Crest Beach just 5 miles away from Old Salt. There's Highland Light lighthouse in nearby Truro, a museum in Provincetown, and a whale watching boat excursion is fun too.
