The one bedroom, cedar shake sided 1840's Carriage House is beautifully situated on 10 acres about 3.5 miles from the village of High Falls and Stone Ridge and all the amenities to make a stay in the country fun and tasty! The cottage is just minutes from the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park with numerous trailheads for hiking, rock climbing, picnicing, swimming, snow shoeing and cross country skiing all on the geologically unique Shawangunk Ridge. It is an easy 90 minute drive from NYC via the George Washington Bridge. Owned by an artist and writer, the property is available year round on a flexible, short term basis exclusively for guests looking for a quiet, rural retreat.

The Carriage House is approximately 1000 square feet in size with an open living area with great views over the meadow. Lounge on a nicely placed Moroccan rug and floor pillow in front of the gas fireplace or on the comfy couch with good reading light.

The open kitchen includes an under-the-counter Sub Zero refrigerator, a Viking gas cooktop and a Viking wall oven. An assortment of spices, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans, etc. are all included. Catch a glimpse of the local wild life from the teak dining table.

The expansive bedroom includes a king-size bed, a sizable writing desk and seating area. The bathroom is tiled and has a soaking tub with jets and a shower.

The whole cottage is furnished with unique pieces from around the world.

DEEPER WELL MASSAGE THERAPY by Lori Gross, LMT. Lori has 17 years experience as a massage therapist. She will come on site with a menu of therapeutic and nourishing techniques for you to cose from. A wonderful and affordable addition to a relaxing and rejuvenating stay in the country!

This area is a convienient distance from the city, yet is such a change of pace. Antique stores, wineries, hiking, biking on country lanes, small village shops and restaurants, wildlife. All the great things associated with the country are here!

Rates are year round.  There is a two night minimum except for last minute vacancies. Please contact us and we would be glad to clarify! There is a $500 security deposit for stays of 1 week or longer. All stays incur $75 cleaning fee.

Columbus Day weekend, Veteran's Day Weekend, New Year's Eve, all three night minimum @ $195 per night.

Thanksgiving Holiday, four night minimum @ $195 per night.

Christmas Holiday four night minimum @ $195 per night.
