Terrific Vacation Rental in an Excellent Location

My wife and I rented this home for two months from mid-April of 2013. After some travel time in June we rented it for a further three weeks in July.

The house is located only a few blocks from downtown Coeur d'Alene on a quiet street near Tubb’s Hill, Sanders Beach and the lake front. The CDA library is close by. It is a short pleasant walk or bike ride to all downtown locations. Sherman Avenue has loads of restaurants and shops; one of our favourite restaurants was Fire, a short ten minute walk away, as well as the Coffee House, and the Wednesday Farmers' Market was a definite 'to-do'. If you have a car, Sand Point, about 45 minute drive away, is also a lovely town with a park and a sand beach (with lifeguards) and an extensive lawn and recreation facility with BB courts and Horseshoe pits and an Ice Cream shop.

The house itself is very comfortable and cozy, pleasantly furnished and very well supplied, with good Wi-Fi coverage and four TVs (though we found there wasn't much time for the telly in CDA). The bedrooms are good sized with quality bedding and there is a king bed in the Master bedroom. The kitchen had new appliances and was well stocked. We spent a lot of time there as did our friends, who liked to sit around the bench area while we cooked.

There is a large deck off the back of the house, with plenty of seating and a good barbeque. We had several pleasant meals out there.

Parking for two large vehicles on the driveway and plenty of off street parking as well makes it easy for car owners.

The owner went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible...and it was! We highly recommend staying here.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Owners response: Being only 1 block from the new 22 million downtown park and scenic bikeway makes this an even better location!
