Lovely level lot, right on the river with a large, covered deck overlooking a pristine, sandy beach area and one of the most beautiful "swimming holes" imaginable. The home has heart pine floors throughout, unique "redwood brick" walls and an open great room with cozy country kitchen, equipped with microwave, toaster over, gas stove and all the necessities; a newly upgraded bathroom has a large shower and pedestal sink, a comfortable living area with basic cable TV, Internet connection, CD player, propane heat, and a new sofa plus two recliner chairs. The master bedroom has a new queen, platform bed with quality mattress and linens and the second bedroom is comfortably furnished with two twin beds. There is a covered eating area on the deck with old fashioned swing and a small charcoal grill plus rocking chairs for a relaxing snooze!

Located right on the river, you will want to enjoy swimming, rafting and fishing - a couple of poles are provided - but don't forget the license! Nearby, there is horseback riding, golf, and hiking. The small towns of Burnsville and Spruce Pine offer wonderful shops, art galleries and the fifth largest arts and crafts community in the United States. There are many local herb and vegetable farms and plenty of grass fed beef available in the local markets. Two golf courses are close by plus a number of restaurants. On the Blue Ridge Parkway, guests will enjoy a visit to Mt. Mitchell State Park - highest peak in the Eastern United States; the Folk Art Museum, the North Carolina Mineral Museum, Emerald Village Gem Stone Mine, Linville Falls and Caverns, Grandfather Mountain and many other local attractions.
