The 1843 House in Cayuga Lake

Come enjoy the Finger Lakes year round while staying at 'The 1843
House'. It is a single family, 4 bedroom, home located on the west
side of Cayuga Lake, just minutes from Seneca Falls (13 miles)
and Ithaca (25 miles). It is close to the wineries on both Cayuga and
Seneca Lakes. Built in 1843, it has old world charm with all the
modern conveniences. You can find many antiques and period furniture
as you move from room to room.

The house is completely furnished with 2 bedrooms downstairs and
2 bedrooms upstairs. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor,
a first floor laundry room with washer and dryer, a newly remodeled,
eat-in fully equipped kitchen with new appliances including a
dishwasher, a large formal dining room and living room. The living room
has a sleeper sofa which can be used if additional sleeping
accomodations are needed. A door in one of the downstairs bedrooms
opens to stone patio that is completely fenced in. There is plenty of
parking, a red barn, a huge yard with several mature trees to shade
you from the sun, 3 stone patios, picnic table and chairs, and front porch.

Across the road and 50 steps down, you will find 250 feet of lakefront
with a shale beach, a new dock with a ladder, a canoe with paddles for
your use, and a large deck with picnic table and chairs overlooking
the water. Enjoy a campfire on the beach or in the fire pit behind
the house.

There is no telephone land line but cell phone reception is excellent.
Smoking is prohibited inside the house. Conservative use of the
septic system, water and electricity is appreciated. Although the
house is not child-proof, children are welcome.  Occupancy is limited
to 10 maximum on the property.

The 1843 House is available year-round with a 1 week minimum stay from
June 24 through Labor Day.  During the rest of the year, the house is 
available by the night, weekend, week, month or long term.

Rates are "Housekeeping Ready". You must bring your own linens and
towels (blankets and pillows are supplied) and clean the house to
the same or better condition you found it in. Due to a few requests,
we can sometimes provide linens and towels and clean after you leave
for an additional fee. Please inquire. Trash bags and cleaning supplies
are provided.

*January 1 - May 13: $1200/week (Sunday - Sunday), $300/night
weekdays, $350/night weekends (holidays), $1800/month plus utilities

*May 13 - May 27: $1500/week (Sunday - Sunday), $350/night weekdays,
$400/night weekends, except graduation weekends

*Ithaca Graduation: $1200 for 2 nights, $350 each additional night

*Cornell Graduation: $1800 for 3 nights (in Friday afternoon, out Monday
10 AM), $350 each additional night

*May 27 - June 24: $1750/week (Sunday - Sunday), $400/night weekdays, $450/night weekends

*June 24- September 2: $1950/week (Sunday - Sunday), add Labor Day for $400

*September 2 - October 28: $1650/week (Sunday - Sunday), $300/night
weekdays, $350/night weekends(holidays)

*October 28 - December 30: $1200/week (Sunday - Sunday), $250/night
weekdays, $300/night weekends(holidays), $1800/month plus utilities,
except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years

A 50% (non-refundable) deposit due at time of rental, balance (also
non-refundable) due 3 weeks prior to rental (bank checks or money
orders only) along with a $500 security deposit. Deposit will be refunded
when house has been re-rented.  A signed rental agreement is required.
Please inquire about monthly rentals.

Security deposit will be refunded within 30 days after rental provided
no damages or excess cleaning is required.

The rental week goes from Sunday to Sunday. Check-in is 3 PM and
check-out is 10 AM.
