Great Location! Only 2/10th of a mile (1,000 feet) from Short
Sands Beach, local shops, fine dining, and amusements. Seas The Day is set back nicely from Main Street offering a feeling of seclusion & privacy yet the luxury of being close to everything! This
Great cottage is newly renovated with an updated kitchen, new flooring &
windows. There are two bedrooms, one full bathroom with a bath tub which is
great for the little ones. For your beach going convenience an outdoor shower
is located off the back deck. The Kitchen has a 2 person breakfast bar, full
size refrigerator and 4 burner propane stove and oven. Off the living room is a
sliding glass door that opens up to a massive 400 Sq. ft. deck, Perfect for
barbequing, sunbathing, or just some Rest & Relaxation with family & friends.
An outdoor grill will is provided. So come Seas the Day at this cozy but modern
beach bungalow and make your York Beach memories last a lifetime.

If you use Google Maps you will need to use
"56 Main Street, York Maine 03909" or it will show you the wrong
house. On Google the house shows up as 56 Main Street and it is the yellow house behind
the green one in front (47R is for 47 Rear). This is because Google has the street numbers wrong on Main Street.

Over all very nice place. Is a lot bigger then the pictures do it justice. About a 5 min walk to the beach (very important). Close drive to pretty much everything in Maine. Troy was also really easy to talk to, and get in-contact with. I also liked the fact that there was WiFi and about 100 channels on the TV, so you aren't stuck at home late at night with nothing to do. If we go back to Maine next summer, the chances are very good that we would stay here again.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway

Great price for a close location

This house was only a 5-6 minute walk to short sands beach, very doable even with all of you beach gear and 2 small children. It is in a semi private area and very quiet. The entire upstairs of the house is a huge bedroom with 2 beds and lots of floor space, as well as a tv. This would be a great space for 2 couples to share (it is the same as sharing a 2 bed hotel room). There is a great nook at the top of the stairs that I think was designed as more closet space, but it would also make a great place for young children on an air matress or a playpen as it is out of site from the rest of the bedroom. Downstairs is a smaller bedroom which is great for a couple or children. My husband and I shared the space with our 1 1/2 year old and it was kind of crowded, but it worked (allthough I would not recomend this arrangement...the baby woke up more than she does at home). The living room was a good size and the kitchen met all of out needs. The back porch was great for meals and the outside shower was awsome! We could take both an inside shower and outside at the same time and it didnt seem to affect the water pressure or temp!

This house is different from most others because you do your own cleaning on the last day, but it was not difficult, no different than keeping your own home. We swiffered the hard floors and vacuumed the carpets, disinfected the counters...nothing hard!

We had a few small issues (no swiffer, so we bought a broom) but the owners were great about it and when we had a glass get accidentally broken, they were really forgiving and we didnt loose our deposit!

We had 4 adults, a pre teen and 2 small children stay here, and other than the smaller bedroom being a little snug, we all fit fine! The location was great and the price was right! I would deff recomend this to anyone. Not sure if we will all fit next year with the little ones getting older, but it was a great place to stay and the owners were great and understanding!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car

So far this year we have had great success with it and feel most people would rather save money by cleaning themselves (thank you for doing such a stellar job btw!).
