The Summerhouse condominium complex is the very last one north of the inlet, with marshes and spectacular sunsets to the west, the Matanzas to the south, the ocean with magnificent sunrises to the east, and historic St. Augustine to the north! You couldn't ask for a better location, combining the beauty of Florida's waterlands with the sightseeing, fine dining, world-class golf, and exciting shopping of America's oldest city, just minutes away by car. Of course, if your idea of the perfect vacation involves drowsing beside a swimming pool with an icy drink, Summerhouse also provides all of the amenities you'd expect of a first-class resort. We have 4 pools here, including one with an ocean view. Lighted tennis courts, indoor racquetball courts, a playground, a clubhouse with a gym and an office -- it's all waiting for you! Summerhouse 262 is a town-house style condo with 2 bedrooms and 2½ baths, with ocean views from many rooms, updated furnishings and features, and all the comforts of home (without any of the work!). We invite you to see just how fun and rejuvenating a vacation at our oceanfront condo can be. Your first stop at Summerhouse 262 will undoubtedly be the balcony just off the living room. With a panoramic view of sand, sea, and sky, it's a great place to unwind at any time of day or night. The sea breeze is balmy, the murmur of the surf is soothing, and the views are just amazing. Indoors from the balcony, our living room is newly updated and very pleasant. Sink into one of our sea-blue sofas, put your feet up, and enjoy a show on the HDTV with DVD player. Drift off into an afternoon nap, or spend a night "in" playing charades or reminiscing with the family, the ocean view offering a perfect backdrop to the fun. Just beyond the living room is our dining table, set for 6 and ready to act as a computer desk (you have free wireless Internet at Summerhouse 262) or game center. We know that most meals are going to be enjoyed out on the balcony or perhaps in one of St. Augustine's great restaurants. But just in case, this useful table stands ready . . . and you can see the ocean as you eat! Our galley-style kitchen is completely remodeled with the latest appliances and handsome wood cabinetry. It features a big serving hatch so that you can watch the changing clouds over the ocean as you prepare a tasty meal or frosty beverages. And it's fully stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and time-savers such as a coffeemaker, microwave, and of course the all-important dishwasher. A half-bath serves this floor of Summerhouse 262, while both bedrooms and full bathrooms, along with a laundry closet featuring a washer and dryer, are upstairs. The master suite is one of the best places at Summerhouse 262, with its big window overlooking the ocean and its private TV. The king-sized bed is luxuriously comfortable, and the remodeled en-suite bathroom features a walk-in shower. Heaven! The 2nd bedroom is ideal for children or a second couple. Two twin beds ensure everyone a good night's sleep, and the second full bathroom also boasts a walk-in shower. We provide all the linens, blankets, pillows, and towel sets you need for every bed and bath at Summerhouse 262, so pack light and don't worry about "emergency" supplies. The only thing you'll need more of at our condo is time -- your vacation will fly by as you enjoy all the great things there are to do here! Be sure to visit Fort Matanzas (just a hop away!) and, if you enjoy a good nature walk, bring your comfy shoes and a pair of binoculars. Summerhouse borders a bird sanctuary! Consider making Summerhouse 262 the launch pad for your next St. Augustine visit. It's convenient to town, but really feels secluded and peaceful, with water on 3 sides.
