Vacation Rental Description

We invite you to be our guests! Newer beautifully furnished & very 
well equipped 2 bedroom 2 bath townhome overlooking the tennis 
courts & swimming pool in private & secure Barrier Dunes gated 
community. The "white sugar" beach, the clear turquoise blue Gulf 
waters, & a second beachfront pool with clubhouse are only a 90 
second stroll down the boardwalk. The 2 tennis courts & the newer 
pool are located right next to your home and are literally 5 or 6 
steps away. The freshwater fishing ponds, playground & gazebo are 
close by. Less than a five minute walk outside of Barrier Dunes will 
take you to "Coneheads", the newly constructed 9 mile 
bike/pedestrian path, or the trailhead for the Maritime Hammock 
Trail whichs winds through St. Joseph Peninsula State Park to the 
shore of St. Joe Bay.     

Vacation Rental Amenities

Washer, dryer, 3 TVs, 3 VCRs, video library, CATV w/ HBO, stereo w/ 
CD, central A/C, ceiling fans, refrigerator/freezer w/ ice maker, 
electric range, telephone, games, cookbooks, very well equipped 
kitchen (we love to cook), microwave, blender, coffee maker, 
dishwasher, 2 decks & 1 balcony, deck furniture, heavy duty gas 
grill, 2 twin beds, 1 queen bed, queen sofa sleeper, linens & towels 
are provided. Sorry no pets & please no smoking in the townhouse.

Barrier Dunes amenities include 2 pools, 2 tennis courts, beach 
club, boat parking, surf & freshwater fishing, boardwalks & paved 
roads throughout for walking & biking.      

Activities and Attractions

Barrier Dunes is adjacent to 2516 acre St. Joseph Peninsula State 
Park, the #1 beach in America as reported by National Geographic 
Traveler magazine in 2002. The park includes 1700 acres of 
Wilderness Preserve, 20 miles of total shoreline (9 miles on the 
Gulf the balance on St. Joe Bay), nature trails,& a boat ramp on St. 
Joe Bay. Enjoy hiking, boating, swimming, snorkeling, shelling or 
just beachcombing.

Activities on the Cape include horseback riding on the beach, biking 
or jogging the newly constructed 9 mile asphalt pathway, viewing the 
old lighthouse, ice cream - a sandwich or dinner at "Coneheads", 
pizza from the Trading Post, lunch or dinner at "Loggerhead Grill" 
or simply relax on the beach.

Activities near the Cape include golf at St. Joseph Bay Country Club 
(15 min drive), boat rentals at the Port St. Joe Marina (20 min 
drive), hike or bike St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge (15 
min drive to the boat shuttle), offshore or bay fishing charters, 
diving/snorkeling, harvest scallops-crabs-oysters from the bay, 
visit historic Apalachicola (25 min drive) for shopping-dining-
antiquing or check out the visitors center at the National Estuarine 
Research Reserve or the St. Vincent Island Museum (both are located 
at the north end of Water Street in Apalachicola), on your way home 
stop by the "Raw Bar" (across from the road to Indian Pass) for some 
of the freshest seafood around, or visit Panama City. It's about 50 
miles if you drive, but only about 30 miles if you swim.
