Island Getaway; A Private Island Retreat in North Captiva Island

Nestled among palm trees and sea grapes and just 9 lots from the Gulf
of Mexico, Island Getaway is an easy 2 minute walk down the dead end
sandy lane to the beautiful beach.


This beautiful home is decorated with hand painted furniture and
rattan 'Island' decor. Island colors of cool pastel yellows, blues &
greens, and painted details such as a "Door in a Door." Fresh, clean,
tropical look with all the amenities you will need for a relaxing,
fun-filled vacation to remember forever. Island Getaway features three
bedrooms w/ sleeping loft, 1 bath, and a guest bedroom & bath
downstairs (separate unit).


A leisurely 2 min. stroll down the sandy road to the soft sand of
the Gulf of Mexico. The beach has very few tourists and is yours to
walk the length...about 4 miles...or to just sit back and enjoy the
sun and the surf. Beach Chairs, Umbrellas and Frosty Mugs await
your arrival. Sunsets are breathtaking each night and if you are an
early riser....take in the quiet serenity of the sunrise over the
Pine Island Sound; You, the sea gulls and some dolphins are all
that will stir the air at that moment...makes you inspired by the
beauty of it all....

"Island Getaway" is exactly as the name implies... a Get-Away.
We have tried to make our home as comfortable as possible to make
your stay enjoyable and relaxing. We want you to come back again and
again to enjoy your very own..."Island Getaway"....

Bed #1 = Queen size Bed with full view glass door to a morning deck
Bed #2 = Full size Bed (with two large windows overlooking the
vegetation and palms.... no homes to look at, just nature!)
Bed #3 = Twin bed with Trundle pull out with armoire
Sleeping Loft = Queen Size bed. Loft overlooks the
great room.... access this area from a ladder to this fun retreat!

Bed #4 (additional unit)= Private entrance on ground level leads to
this peaceful
suite...equipped with two comfortable twin beds, sitting room, and
large bath with separate commode area. (Additional price)

New kitchen with all the amenities, refrigerator, range, microwave,
D.W., coffee
maker, blender, all pots and pans and dishes.... white cabinets with
hand painted tropical pulls and cobalt blue dishes.... Island theme.
Tiled floors and carpeted bedrooms leave this home with a clean,
fresh feeling... all new as of 2005.

Outdoor shower provides a unique experience to connect with nature,
a private surrounding, but with the warmth of the sun to renew you.
Beach Chairs and Umbrellas for you to relax with a good book on the
beach. 4 seater golf cart provided. Additional golf carts
available for rental.

'Island Greeter' will help you make all the arrangements to get to
North Captiva Island and will meet you upon your arrival to take you
to the house to get settled... making your vacation as easy and
enjoyable as possible.

Water taxi runs every two hours to the island from the mainland, and
groceries can be brought over with you for your vacation stay.
Private pilots with their own plane can land on the private grass
airstip available to them as our guest of "Island Getaway"

Activities include:
Water sports/ kayaking, jet skiing, swimming
Beach roaming.... shelling, exploring the nature preserve, 4 mile
beach walks to the most remote places you can imagine!
Birdwatching... see migrating birds that come to rest after
an 800 mile journey over water from South America.
Exploring on the golf cart.. to find new areas on the island
Sunsets and Sunrises.... the island is only 1/2 mile across

Rental rates for "Island Getaway":
Season: Nov 16 - May 17 $1700 + 11% tax
Off-Season: May 18 - Nov 15 $1500 + 11% tax

Includes golf cart (no cars on this private island!)
Includes services of our "Island Greeter" to help make the travel
plans to the island and greet you upon your arrival, getting you
settled into the house
