The Lake McQueeney River Home is a one of a kind, beautiful and privately gated waterfront
home, sitting midway between New Braunfels and Seguin on the Lake McQueeney portion of the Guadalupe
River. (Lake McQueeney is the largest lake and river portion of the Guadalupe River just below New
Braunfels).
This like new 2000 sq. ft. home sits on a 1/2 acre of lush Saint Augustine grass amidst tall
shade trees on a private 6 acre peninsula perfect for families.
Most of the home's rooms share a view of the Guadalupe River. The crown molded interior is
vaulted with ceiling fans and either Berber carpet or ceramic tile flooring. There is a large well
stocked kitchen with granite counter tops and bar connected to a spacious dining room with an
antique pecan dining table seating 8. The bar seats 4, and the breakfast table seats 2. The home's
living room opens to a wrap around front porch with ceiling fans, porch swing, tables, and stereo
speaker.
The downstairs bedroom with an antique claw foot tub/shower and the upstairs bedroom with a
tiled shower and skylight contain queen sized beds. The upstairs dormitory has two skylights
illuminating two single beds, a futon and an entertainment center and shares the upstairs bath. Off
the back of the house is a screened porch to hang your wet clothes and/or store your coolers. There
is also a wash room for added convenience.
The home's mission is to provide a beautiful, relaxing and fun vacation for family get togethers,

The property has functioned as a home and is conveniently arranged.
Linens, paper goods, and basic spices provided. Restaurant recommendation list, directions to the
local store,
pharmacy and hospital. Basic cable and highspeed wifi internet provided. Local calling, bring your
cell phones for long distance, TV/DVD/VHS, Stereo/CD, Washer-dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave,
Breadmaker, Coffee maker, Sun tea, Central AC-heat, Ceiling fans and stereo speakers throughout. BBQ
grill, canoe and extra lawn furniture. It is ideal for Snowbird's and those looking for longer lease periods. There is usually an organic garden. Owner usually available for prompt troubleshooting, and always

(10 minutes to Schlitterbahn, River Road tubing/rafting

Located midway between Seguin and New Braunfels on Highway 46, The Lake
McQueeney River Home enjoys exceedingly easy access to all the surrounding activities. Yet, a complete vacation can be had with out ever leaving the house. There is 1500 feet of private waterfront for exploring and swimming, tanning, floating, canoeing and fishing from the landings in front of the house with an ice cold punch can entertain for hours. Waterski, wake board, tube
and jet ski immediately off the landing. Feeding the catfish at dusk or perch fishing can be real fun for the kids. Bass fishing is good for Dad.
The Ski Bee ski show (home of the original ski show in Texas), occurs every Thursday night up
at the lake. Arrangements with the ski ski bee school can make a fun daily activity for the kids. There are championship ski boats (and a 25 person party boat), for rent that can also take you on a private Lake tour whenever you schedule. A midnight cruise is a perfect punctuation to an evening.
Unique things you may see include indigenous Blue Green Heron, owls, hawks, armadillos, Guadalupe River Ferns, turtles, hawks, wild birds and indigenous flowers, huge elephant ears, fire flies, catfish, natural springs and Treasure Island with its inland canals. Snowbird's will discover the seasonal rhythm of the river, and its
surroundings. The peninsular pets include - Bailey the Jack Russel Terrier or Queen Snowball the Maltese.
Within minutes are area spas, gyms, hiking trails, biking
and spelunking. The bandit golf course 15 minutes from the
house is rated asone of the top 5 golf courses in Texas.
Other area attractions include the 135 yo German Naegelin's bakery
in New Braunfels, the antiques and dance hall in historic Gruene,
Wimberly's art, and tubing the Comal River, which is much safer and
gentler than the Guadalupe.
Landa Park boasts swimming and paddle boats in the crystal clear
Edward Aquifer headwater. The aquifer's water surfaces
in Landa Park and forms the clear Comal River, the shortest river in
texas. The park hosts an authentic kiddie train
ride, swimming, kid parks, ducks and grill accomodations.
San Antonio's Fiesta Texas, Sea World and River Walk, as well as
the outlet mall in San Marcos, and Austin's University of Texas,
music scene and 27 libraries and museums are second to none.
Finally, lesser known but equally engaging attractions include
trout fishing on the Guadalupe River below Canyon Dam, the
magnificent Natural Bridge Caverns ~ 28 miles away
and the awe inspiring Tower of Americas restaurant in San Antonio,
which is located on top of what was once the tallest freestanding
tower in America (make sure to book several weeks in advance). The
restaurant rotates completely each hour offering a sunset experience
the whole family will remember for years to come...
