Welcome to this modern, newly renovated, private, 1 bedroom garden apartment located in Astoria, New York City. It is only a 1 minute walk to the train station, as it is located just around the corner. From there, it is only 10 minutes to reach Manhattan by train.

The apartment is complete with modern furniture and fixtures throughout and is of a spacious, open-plan design, with ceramic tiled flooring.

The apartment has a large living room with two comfortable sofas and a large flat-screen television with satellite tv.

There is a spacious kitchen with brand new appliances and is fully equipped to cook a gourmet meal. There is also a large dining table with dining chairs.

The door in the kitchen will lead you to the large garden, which you will find a dining table, chairs, bench, 2 lounge chairs, umbrella, barbecue, and fire starter for the barbecue. What a treat to have an outdoor space in the city! The garden, with its quiet, serene environment, will put you in a relaxed state after a long, busy day around the high-energy city. Lounge in the garden among the flowers and other flora. Feel free to harvest from the garden the herbs, vegetables, and fruit that are in season. Depending on the season, you will find parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, sage, chives, cilantro, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, string beans, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, figs, and more.

The apartment has a spacious spa style bathroom with shower area.

There is a bedroom with modern furniture and a queen size Tempur-Pedic bed, which can fit two guests. For the third and fourth guests, there is a light-weight queen size Tempur-Pedic bed that can be easily moved from the private room near the entrance of the apartment where it is stored, and can be returned there during the day so that it is out of the way. The sofas can also be used for sleeping.

The neighborhood of Astoria is the most diverse area in New York City. You will find this special area to be very conveniently located to many shops, boutiques, markets, restaurants, cafes, bars, beer gardens, museums, parks, and any other establishment that one needs or wants to have nearby in an urban setting. Many restaurants in Astoria have been highly rated by the Zagat restaurant guide, recommended in the prestigious Michelin guide, and raved about in The New York Times. For you, our guest, is a large welcome booklet in the apartment to help you with your planning, which includes details such as an extensive list of restaurants in the area, many nearby markets, and a map of the area with key points. This booklet will help to immediately get you familiar with the area.

Astoria is located in the New York City borough of Queens, just over the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, also known as the 59th Street Bridge, which stretches over the East River from East Midtown Manhattan. This special neighborhood has a wonderful history, which includes being the location where Steinway & Sons, the finest piano company in the world, chose to build shop in 1853. The closest train station, named Steinway Street, where the M and R lines stop, is just a one minute walk from the apartment and will get you to East Midtown Manhattan in only 10 minutes. Astoria is a very lively area, which is heavily populated with restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, and has a vibrant nightlife. The Museum of Moving Image and Kaufman Studios is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Also nearby are the Noguchi Museum, Socrates Sculpture Park, and the MoMA affiliated PS1 Museum.
