You will be staying in a totally private part of a large Carmel "French Normandy" style home built in 1927. The home is located on Hatton Road, known for its grand homes. You enter your studio through a private outside entrance.

One bedroom with a very comfortable queen size bed, plus a fold out sofa perfect for a child. The bathroom features a cast iron tub perfect for long baths, with a shower.

The room and grounds are non smoking.

A movie selection is also available. With a front porch patio area with table and chairs, perfect for morning coffee. Free computer WiFi. Plus a microwave, small fridge and a coffee maker. With plenty of free parking.

Walk a few blocks to the downtown village of Carmel By The Sea. Stroll a few more blocks to beautiful Carmel Beach.

Kayaking in Pacific Grove or Elkhorne Slough.

Wine tasting at wineries in Carmel Valley and south Monterey County.

The owner, Steve, was very accommodating. I asked to book our visit just three days in advance and there were no problems. The room is very nice and the bed is super comfy! I was surprised that it is so close to the ocean and Monterey is just 15 minutes away. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit to Carmel!

Recommended for: age 55+, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Paradise in Carmel

We arrived later than planned but nonetheless were greeted very warmly by owners Steve and Wendy with welcome refreshments. After a chat and a quick tour we settled in to the beautiful cottage room. The room was full of character, extremely clean and very comfortable (especially the bed!). There was plenty of useful local information including menus from Carmel eateries. The centre of Carmel was only a 10-15 min walk so it was very handy for all local shops and the beach (which was breath-taking). Steve gave us plenty of tips of places to visit which was much appreciated. All in all it was the perfect place to spend the last few days of our holiday.

Recommended for: age 55+, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Our family had a great time at the Cottage. This place is close enough to all of the Carmel attractions, quiet, and well maintained. Steve and Wendy are both very nice and easy going. Just the right size for me, my wife and two small kids. Would definitely check it out again in the future!
