Near to Carolina Beach is Wilmington 20 minutes away and Myrtle Beach 
only 1 1/2 hours away.  Historic Wilmington has the battleship North 
Carolina,  movie studios, historic area and much more.  Near Carolina 
Beach is great fishing, surfing, golf, as well as great swimming.  
Swim 
in the ocean then sun yourself around the complex's private pool.   
The 
aquarium and ferries at Fort Fisher are 5 miles away as well as 
numerous places to take your SUV. Many historic civil war sites are 
also nearby. 
The local harbor is the center for deep sea fishing in the area.  
There are many large and small fishing boats for hire.
