- Mem. Day week / weekend: $1000 minimum (up to 4 nights). Extra nights $150; full week $1300
(7th night free).

Our fresh, cozy ranch sleeps up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms and convertible private den / great room, with full bath and separate entrance.
Other living areas include living room with ample sofas and TV, enclosed sun porch on the west front, modern kitchen with snack bar for kids and table seating 6 or 8, large screened porch adjacent to kitchen, outdoor picnic/barbecue area, and outdoor sit-down shower (hot/cold, with room for a small family!)
A short block's walk from the front door takes you to our gentle, sandy, uncrowded beach on Delaware Bay. Or, for open ocean surf, take a scenic 2-mile drive or bike ride to miles of undeveloped Atlantic shoreline at Cape Henlopen State Park.
AVAILABIITY : Summer weeks, June-July-August. Spring and Fall weeks or monthly rent by special request.

Lewes is 100 miles from Washington DC, Baltimore, or Philadelphia; 16 miles by ferry from Cape May, NJ; and just a few miles to the North of the better-known (and more crowded and commercialized) Rehoboth Beach, DE. Lewes is an ideal spot for relaxed old-fashioned beach vacations, away from neon, noise and high-rise development.

Ride a bike, rent a kayak (or bring your own.) Cast a fishing line off the jetty at the inlet. Or take a mile-long walk on the beach in the opposite direction, to the Dairy Queen at the Town beach.
Take a dolphin-watching cruise, or a party-boat fishing cruise – or a windjammer cruise on Delaware’s historic tall ship Kalmar Nyckel, when she’s in port –
Take a ferry ride from Lewes toCape May,New Jersey, 1 ½ hours away. (At about $15 round trip for foot passengers, it’s the best "cruise ship" deal you’ll find anywhere!)
Stroll the quaint seaport village of Lewes, shop for antiques or gourmet treats. Visit museums, and monuments to the first Dutch settlers of the 1600’s.
Board the old restored light ship "Overfalls" at its pier - or maybe try a lighthouse tour by boat
Launch your own boat at the large public boat ramp in Lewes (or launch your own light craft right off our beach down the block from the house.)
Try Delaware’s tax-free outlet malls and action / waterslide parks a few miles inland (away from our quiet beach)
Visit the old-fashioned Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, eat cotton candy, rub shoulders with the crowds (well, maybe once -)
Take a tour of the Dogfish Head Brewery in nearby Milton, DE

Pay by check when returning lease. Person signing lease must be 25 or older (or provide reference.)
Renters supply bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels; also kitchen and bath consumables (soap/detergent/napkins/paper towels/toilet tissue/plastic trash can liners).
