My family and I enjoyed our stay at Linville Log Home. We only had two problems, but were able to take care of them ourselves. (One of the beds did not have clean sheets and had not been made properly. And on our first night, two of the smoke alarms "beeped" all night, so we had to go to town the next morning to replace the batteries.) Otherwise, we had a great time with our family. It is a great house for families with children, because of the way the bedrooms are separated and the fact that there are two family rooms. We hope to return soon!
We did not go into town and visit restaurants, but did have to take our baby grandson in for a visit to the emergency room one night at midnight and were very pleased with his treatment!

Our family had such a nice mini vacation in the Linville log home. They owners have mastered the art of renting and thought of every last detail down to the very cute rustic chalk board for the corn hole game. The kitchen is stalked with everything you would possibly need for a large family feast. The house was very clean and in a great location between two docks. The boys had a great time golfing while the girls caught up on their beauty rest. The home has fantastic deco inside and out. We will be back!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway

Beautiful Log Home!

The Linville Log Home is a fabulous place to stay. It is beautiful, both inside and out. The attention to detail makes it even more amazing. We enjoyed walking outside looking at the birdhouses, mobiles, sculptures, and other things that decorate the house and yard. It has a nice sweeping view down a field to the Deerfield Marina, but there is not a lake view. The inside is as amazing as the outside. It is truly the nicest home we've ever stayed in. It was spotless when we arrived and everything you could possibly need was already there. I felt like I was staying in my own home rather than a rental home. There is a master suite upstairs, and two more bedrooms on the main level. My son and his friends loved having the whole downstairs floor to themselves. There are two more bedrooms there. They had a TV, a game table and lots of games. But they spent almost the entire time outside playing cornhole! We had lousy weather so we were only able to go out on the lake half a day. But it's a must-do--Norris Lake is so clean and so beautiful. The boys jumped off the bridge, fished, and we all swam from the pontoon boat (be prepared for the high rental prices). We were disappointed in the weather but we were certainly NOT disappointed in the Linville Log Home. I would highly recommend it.
