We are your base to explore Clarke County and Frederick County & all it has to offer - the Shenandoah River, historic sites, Burnwell-Morgan Historic Mill, wineries, golfing, parks, monastery, hiking, fishing, canoeing, plantations, caves, animal parks, antique shops, Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Locke Country Store, Watermelon Park, Arboretum of Virginia or just explore the picturesque country roads with views of farms & mountains or take a drive down scenic Skyline Drive.

Plan a day trip to Shenandoah Nat'l Park, Harper's Ferry, Front Royal, Shepherdstown, WV or Charles Town WV or many of the other towns nearby.

Or just relax, read a book and sit in the hot tub.

Blue Hill is a working farm - the fields are being farmed by Dan and Alexandra.  Gus and Cleo are thier dogs. Dan & Ali live in the guest cottage which is detached from the main house where you will be staying.

We are organic - no pesticides are used in the fields or the gardens. 

We offer a charming historic country house on 36 acres of wooded land located in historic Clarke County, Virginia. Come enjoy Historic Clarke County! We are located about an hour and a half west of Washington, DC, 20 minutes west of Middleburg, VA and 20 minutes east of Winchester, VA.

Amenities include a large wrap around porch, a deck with a hot tub, charcoal grill and hiking trails. The yard next to the deck is fenced in. 

The house has been completely renovated (with central air/heat). Upstairs  the bedrooms are very spacious - there are 2 master bedrooms with queen beds and in-suite bathrooms, one bedroom with a queen and two twins beds, another bedroom with a full bed, a den with a twin bed and another full bathroom.  In addition we have inflatable matresses.

The kitchen has granite countertops and is fully equipped and even has a state of the art coffee machine that grinds and serves up wonderful cups of Costa Rican coffee. Next to the kitchen is a sunroom with a large window facing towards the woods and fields.

The dining room seats up to ten people and has a fireplace. The living room is large with comfortable seating and a flat screen TV including a DVD & Wii.  The family room has another flat screen TV, Guitar Hero & an Xbox 360 and DVD player.  There is also a 1/2 bath on the main floor.

The base rates are based on a party of up to 4 guests, for parties larger than 4 guests the rate will vary based on the number of guests. 

A housekeeping fee of $120 is charged for parties of up to 4 guests, the fee will vary based on the number of guests.
