Ruthie's Garden Estate in Union Pier

This grand home was built in the early 1900's and used during prohabition by some well known bootleggers from Cicero Illinois. In the following 80 years the home was used a s a residence, boarding house, and main house for many of the surrounding cottages.

In 2011, the house went through a complete revival, and is once again a reminder of Union Pier's prominence in Harbor Country.
