I stayed in the Four Winds 3 and it was perfect. Very cute and affordable. My boyfriend and I came down to enjoy a nice romantic week for our anniversary. Even though it was not oceanfront, you can still hear the ocean from where the cottage is located. I am highly recommending this place to everyone.

Recommended for: girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

I went to Nags head for a releaxing and romantic vacation with pooch in tow. The whole place is about 24x24. Spacious for 2-4 people. The a/c worked great. That's about it for the good. It looks as though the last time the place was remodled was during the Johnson administration. The furniture looks like it was put in during the Reagan administration and they did it with a $50.00 bill at Goodwill stores, however it did have a new vinyl floor! BTW,,,,those are not ceramic tiles you are looking at in the pics. We rented the surf house and the stove was a VERY old electric model and the pine paneling behind it was schorched and blackened by a previous grease fire I guess. The bathroom isn't much better. The fenced in yard HMMMNNN,,,is a 3x6 dog pen and the screened porch is about 3x6 that's it with two plastic chairs!!!!!!!!! The ice maker did not work and all the pots and pans were that dark brown from the late 60's. I know when you go to Nag's Head you don't expect Miami's South Beach but this was bad. I guess if a few 20 something beer swelling older frat boys wanted a place just to kick back at this would have been ok, but if you are planning a romantic week or weekend get away, your partner will most likely want to leave and go home!!!! These folks take great photos. Please don't say you weren't warned!!!! It really is a shame because if the owner spent 15-20k it could be very nice!!!!!!! This is a honest and accurate representation I think.
