vacation rental description
Close to the main entrance of Acadia National Park
The cottage is nested in the forest on a 1 acre lot, in a quiet neighborhood. You can watch dear and turkey cross the property, or walk to the nearby cove. At night, gather on the deck and gaze at the stars. Enjoy an evening cook-out on the grill and top it off with smores. The house is close to the main entrance to Acadia National Park and is convenient to the downtown area of Bar Harbor and the other island villages.
Acadia rightfully claims to be one of the most beautiful scenic treasures in America, featuring both stunning ocean views and narrow lakes surrounded by mountains and forests. Mount Desert Island offers some of the best hiking and biking trails in New England. Catch a whale watching boat, or rent a Kayak and discover the wonders and wildlife of Frenchman and Blue Hill bays. Admire the sunrises/sunsets and moonrises/moonsets from the top of Cadillac Mountain. Take a short ferry trip to the picturesque Cranberry and Swans islands.
