Haven of Bliss Cottage, One Block from Lake Michigan Beach! in South Haven

Welcome to your home away from home, our Haven of Bliss Cottage, located in charming South Haven, Michigan!  Our home is on a tree-lined residential street located directly off North Shore Drive.  Beautiful Lake Michigan, with it's pristine, sandy shoreline is one block from the cottage.  The historic harbor town of South Haven is one mile from our home and is the ideal town for fun-filled vacation activities for all ages.

For your outdoor pleasure, our large (3 lot) shaded lawn is perfect for lawn games.  The double wide hammock invites you to relax and the fire pit is ready for campfires in the evenings.  The large deck attached to the house has a bistro table with chairs and an umbrella, perfect for having a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning or for lounging when you return from the beach.  There is a gas grill on the deck for your use at mealtimes.  There is off-street parking for vehicles.  There is a large, sturdy wagon available for you when taking your towels,chairs/toys to the beach.  Beach chairs and coolers are available.

Indoor amenities include a family-friendly, open concept, living room, dining room/kitchen, sitting room and screened-in porch.  The 14'x16' screened-in porch is really the heart of the cottage, a place to meditate and dream.  It is furnished with a wicker swing, cushioned sofa and billowing cotton curtains.  There is ample room in the cottage for guests to pursue either group or individual interests.  All rooms have plantation blinds for privacy and light preferences.  All rooms, including the screened-in porch, have ceiling fans.  A large-capacity window air-conditioner cools the entire cottage when needed.  Media conveniences include cable television, wireless internet access, and two DVD players.  We have board games for traditional family fun.  The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals and for dining.  There is a high chair and booster chair for children.  Small appliances include a coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave and crock pot.  Kitchen linens are provided.

Sleeping accomodations, for six, include two bedrooms, one bedroom with a king-sized bed, and one bedroom with two double beds.  There is a futon bed in the living room and there is a portacrib available.  Cotton bed linens are provided.

There is one bathroom with tub/shower and bath towels are provided.  Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels.  There is a washer and dryer for guest usage.

South Haven attractions include the South Haven Lighthouse, a four-block harbor and pier walk, family friendly summer festivals, reasonably priced shopping and restaurants, summer concerts in the harbor pavilllion, blueberry and raspberry farms for upick or for purchasing, downtown farmers market, miles of wide, soft sandy beaches for sunbathing or for strolling to gather stones and beach glass, nearby vineyards, fishing charter boats, boat launching sites, "The Friends Goodwill" tall ship is harbored in town and offers nightly sailings, Michigan Maritime Museum, Kal-Haven Trail for biking or hiking, Saugatuck is a short drive from South Haven for dune climbing, Van Buren State Park is also a short drive for dune climbing, seven public beaches in town, a hospital in town for medical needs, "Kids Corner" with a square block of playground equipment is across the street from South Beach Park, skateboard park in town and there is a concession stand at North Beach.

Summer Rates:  Total rent is $1200. per week.  Taxes are included in the rental rate.

1st payment of $600., per personal check, is due within seven days of reserving.

2nd payment, of $600., along with a $200. damage deposit, due within 60 days prior to visit.

60 day notice required for cancellation, if done prior to 60 days, full refund, if reservation cancelled within 60 days of arrival, there is a forfeiture of the 1st payment of $600.

Check in time is 3pm on Friday and check out time is 10am the following Friday.

Off season weeks/weekends are available, and rates are negotiable.

Damage deposit will be refunded to guests, if there is no damage to premises.
