Truly a get-away paradise with nine rooms - all with water views, 250 ft of waterfront including a sandy beach in a cove, a boat dock, and seaside sun decks with hot tub and waterfalls... Located in Guilford, Connecticut, it's just 1.5 hr from New York and 2 hr from Boston. If you are looking for an oceanfront vacation home in a spectacular location, look no further. Bordered by protected land trust, this exclusive getaway offers magnificent water views from all rooms. Its private location in a pristine area of the Connecticut coast is quite unique, and its picturesque setting rivals that of New England villages located on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Maine. Vacation Rental AmenitiesWith over 2400 sq ft of living space and 2200 sq ft of terrace area, the house is well-proportioned to enjoy both in- and outdoor waterfront living. There are three double bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a full gourmet kitchen, a dining, family and living room, a laundry and a utility room, and a two-car garage. The entrance is through a stone lighthouse-style tower with foyer and an office with computer and high-speed Internet access located on top. The house accommodates up to eight people. All rooms offer magnificent waterviews and French doors in all rooms open to a wrap around deck and Mediterrenean-style patio. The open floor plan with central heating and two natural stone fireplaces make for cozy stays in winter. During summer, the house is air-conditioned, mostly naturally, with cooling sea breezes and fans on the cathedral ceilings. Activities and AttractionsWake up to the sound of the surf and to glorious sunrises. Relax on the spacious patio surrounded by waterfalls and fountains, or enjoy the spectacular water views from the wrap-around deck. Observe ospreys and herons searching for food. Or watch boats go by from the hot tub in the gazebo. Step down to the beach or go on the dock for sunning, swimming, kayaking, fishing, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving... Take the boat and explore the magnificent shoreline with sand beaches, secluded coves, rocky headlands, crashing surf and tens of islets. After all, the area around SeaScape Villa has often been described "as a piece of Maine that drifted in Long Island Sound and came to rest in front of the Connecticut coast". Located at the end-of-the-road, the villa is free from traffic. The beach waters are calm and devoid of undercurrents. A great place for children to play. And if you want to take the bike, or go for a hike, there are two classified scenic routes that make for perfect bike rides, while a walking trail leads from just behind the property to many scenic and charming shoreline places.
