Hacienda San Jose Poniente in Merida

All of our guests have considered it a "paradise".  Your own private Hacienda.

Countryside Hacienda in the middle of 100 acres.  A place for privacy, rest, and relaxation for the family.

It is located 30 minutes from the city of Merida, 50 minutes from the pyramids of Chichen Itza,

20 minutes from the city of the three cultures, Izamal, and 15 minutes from the ruins of Ake.

It has two small towns within 5 minutes which are Tahmek and Hoctun.  This is a place for relaxing after a day of touring.  It is also a place to get away from it all.  Your privacy is our goal.

A 3BR fully furnished house with a/c  is also available in the city of Merida and can be rented by the week, month, or for longer periods of time.

The Hacienda has three air conditioned bedrooms with one kingsize bed and two queensize beds. Each bedroom has its own full bath with hot and cold water.  The hacienda has its kitchen, a living room/television room combo and a large dining room with a sitting area.  The swimming pool is located in the area northeast of the house and is equipped with a bar.  South of the swimming pool is a palapa which some people call a tiki house where you can rest, relax, and do some bird watching or read a book.  The gardens are well kept so you can spend some time just walking and admiring the scenery.

The city of Merida (population 1M) is within a 30 minute drive and it has all the facilities you can desire.  With a beach which is also an additional 20 minutes from there.  There are plenty of museums and cultural activities to keep you busy.  Then you can get away from the crowds and go rest in the hacienda. The city of Izamal is  within 20 minutes and it is a good place to go spend the day climing the pyramids and visiting one of the oldest convents in the americas.  Driving west for an hour from the hacienda you can visit the pyramids of Chichen Itza which has been classified one of the newest wonders of the world.  It is a full day of touring and you can come back and rest by the pool after a full day of touring.

Deposits for reservation can be done through paypal or directly to our bank account.  Reservations require a refundable 50% deposit.  Refunds are honored up to two weeks prior to arrival .  Balance is due prior to check in.

WE OFFER ROOM RENTALS AT 100 DOLLARS PER NIGHT FOR TWO PEOPLE ON A KING SIZE BED AND 125 DOLLARS A NIGHT FOR TWO QUEEN SIZE BEDS.  HACIENDA IS ALSO OFFERED AS A BED AND BREAKFAST.  Rental of the three rooms is available for a special rate of 225 dollars per night.
