Also enjoy timeless pleasures like a large dining room table for your family meals, a window wall in the Great Room with beautiful Tahoe forest views, barbecuing or playing in the snow on the deck, and a very well-stocked kitchen.

Just 1.5 miles from Tahoe City, you will still feel many miles away from the distractions of civilization. Gather around the circular fireplace to warm your hands after a day skiing or sledding, or melt away your cares in the sauna. Start up a pool tournament or fool around on the piano. Check your messages when you need to on the computer station, or find the perfect restaurant or kayak rental in Tahoe.

The main floor features the large Great Room with vaulted ceilings and the window wall looking out over the deck to the forest beyond. The circular fireplace has gas-assisted lighting, and firewood is provided in the garage. Sink in to the reclining leather sofas and recliners while you watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV, or refresh yourself from the wet bar and chat with the cook.

The kitchen has everything you need to make great vacation meals, including comprehensive spice cabinet and from the Kitchenaid to the rice cooker. The living area, dining area, deck, and kitchen are connected in an open floor plan. The washer and dryer and the full bath and sauna are right next to the kitchen. Also on the main floor, the master suite features a king bed, sliding glass door to the second deck, and the private master bathroom.

Upstairs, the game and bunk room offers tons of fun for the kids and adults alike. In addition to the pool table, there is a piano, a TV for watching movies, a movie collection, plenty of space for horsing around, boxes of toys, window seats for playing and napping, and four fold-down bunks. (The bunks are rustic, good for kids only.)

Also upstairs are three queen bedrooms, each with forest views, and two half baths connecting to a shower in the middle. A small sitting room with cable TV converts to a loft bedroom with the draw of curtains and the unfolding of the sleeper couch.
