Grannie's House in Marble

Step  back in time with this turn of the century charming farm house.  Two story farmhouse located on two private acres on paved road.  Surrounded by mountains, trees, rushing streams and no immediate neighbors.  Approximately 1 acre is fenced in for your well-behaved pet to roam.

Wireless internet, 3 televisions,dish, high definition tv in livingroom with dvd player, ac, elec & oil heat, gas fireplace, elec fireplace in library, barbecue grill, washer, dryer, dishwasher, gas range, fridge/freezer microwave, telephone (local calls only) all linens provided, all beds are queen sized, the kitchen is fully equipped with all of the amenities that you would expect.

You can enjoy swinging  & rocking and a BBQ on the spacious front porch and let time go by. Maybe see a bear or wild turkeys cross the road. We took a picture of a mother bear and twins crossing our road.

Marble is approximately 10 miles north of Murphy NC  and about half way between the Occoee rafting and Nantahala rafting area, You take your pick.  Several rivers and lakes for boating, fishing and picnicking.

Day trips can be made to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, including Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee NC, Asheville NC, Helen GA, .  Take a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City, NC.  Hike the many trails including Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.  Many waterfalls and gem mining attrations.  The town of Murphy has many fine restaurants and the best barbecue you have ever eaten.  Many cute shops, flea markets, antiques, etc. Maps & directions to attractions will be provided. Directions to house will be given to you. Please no smoking or candle burning in house.

A $100 security deposit is requred and will be refunded promptly provided there is no damage.

10% tax must be added and a cleaning fee of $50.00.  The $50.00 will not be charged if you wish to clean up yourself when leaving. If you wish,  we can accept all major credit cards and mobile payments thu Pay Pal
