Enjoy the lovely, expansive waterfront view from the large deck or the big custom bay window in this completely renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bath lakeside cape cod. In 2007 we opened up the floor plan and made the lake view the centerpiece of it all. Since there are 2 bedrooms & a bath with a soaking tub upstairs, and 2 bedrooms & a bath with a shower downstairs, it is a very easy home to share while still having private spaces. Outside there are two oversized rockers on the deck, and as many comfortable folding chairs as you need. There is also a very large picnic table on the deck which comfortably seats 6 (or 8 cozily). 

Cordley Lake is a private (no public access), spring-fed, no-wake lake so you can enjoy your swim, paddle, or fishing without jet skis whipping around. Small neighborhood association has 3 tiny parks, 2 docks & swim rafts to use.  One of the swim rafts is easily viewable from the house.

Most everything in the house is new since 2007 - kitchen, both bathrooms (one has a 5 1/2 foot soaking tub), refrigerator, gas stove, 2 drawer dishwashers, full-sized first floor washer and dryer, high efficiency windows, flooring, and paint. There is central air conditioning and heating. Linens are high quality and mostly new in 2011.

We also have a TV with basic cable channels and wireless internet. A inkjet printer/copier is available upon request.

Outside, there is a 30 foot deck that faces the lake. In 2011 we added an easy to use Weber Q200 grill. We supply the propane.

We also include 2 kayaks and a canoe with the rental.

The sounds & sights of nature are at your doorstep. Because the lake is spring-fed and so clean, many come to dine. Sandhill cranes, swans, and blue herons are frequently seen and heard. Turtles and frogs can be easily spotted. The swimming and fishing are great. The lake is absolutely beautiful year-round & enjoyed year round. Home is well-insulated & has newer windows so it's cozy in winter, too.

You're 5-10 minutes of many biking trails (paved, unpaved, mountain), horseback riding, 4 golf courses, skateboarding, modest skiing/snowboarding & several large nature areas with hiking trails.

Plus, there is wonderful BBQ, plenty of pizza, the local hangout with big sports TVs which is also on a lake - Zukey Lake Tavern, Captain Frosty’s ice cream & 2 large, newer grocery stores (Busch's & Kroger's).

Or, spend the day in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Lansing or Detroit & come back to relax on the lake!

Please note that this is a NON-SMOKING house, 8 people max. Add 1 night for holiday stay minimums.

Spring/Summer rates in effect April - October - $1,650 per week; $875 for 3 day weekend; $225 per week night. Three day minimum stay; except July/Aug when 5 night minium applies.

Fall/Winter rates in effect November - March - $1,350 per week; $550 for a 2 day weekend; $175 per week night. Two day minimum stay.

Some pets allowed. Must speak to owner first. $50 fee for approved pets.

$95 general cleaning fee (you leave grill clean, as it comes) + 6% Michigan sales tax.
