Summer Shack Floating Home in Providence

Imagine the fun you and your family will have staying right on the water in our super funky houseboat Summer Shack! JUST renovated stem to stern, this vintage floating house is located in trendy Fox Point Marina which boasts some of the city`s hottest restaurants and bars. It`s the perfect spot for anyone coming to visit local area schools as we are steps away from College Hill, Brown University, RISD, and Downtown Providence!

Our floating home features a spacious living area with contemporary furnishings, a dining area with seating for four, a well appointed kitchenette stocked with cooking utensils, refrigerator and appliances, and a full sized bathroom with stand up shower. Summer Shack comfortably sleeps up to 5 guests on two lofted beds in the back bedroom, one double and one single each with a memory foam mattress and waterfront views. As both these beds are lofted guests must be physically able to climb ladders to bunks otherwise there is a convertible futon in the living room that transforms into a double or two single sized beds.

For your comfort and convenience, our boat comes fully-equipped with all the amenities of home including linens, towels, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, plus bathroom products such as soaps, shampoos, and lotions. We even include condiments and a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods for your enjoyment. Cable and WiFi are included free with the rental and the houseboat is fully air-conditioned and heated for your comfort in any season. 

After a long day of touring the city there is nothing better than relaxing on your own private deck with a cold drink in hand as you enjoy 360 degrees of amazing waterfront views! And in the colder months, the huge picture window in the main salon offers guests natural sunlight and the same amazing views of Providence Bay and bridges without stepping foot outside!


The Experience:

Our boat is docked in a protected part of the marina, but there can be some occasional movement during the day when boats pass by. At night the waters are very calm and some guests even find that a bit of gentle swaying relaxes them and makes for a very restful sleep.
