Grammie's Place is a beautiful, beach-cottage style condo in the Outer Banks town of Corolla, NC - just south of the Corolla Lighthouse. Indian Summer Condos have only 2 levels with covered parking underneath. Our 3BR, end-unit condo is on the first level offering nice shade and views, and is a perfect getaway for couples and small families. 

To the Beach...We are just a short (125 yard) board-walk to the wide open beaches where you'll relax in the sand and get plenty of board and body surf action. Keep an eye out for dolphins and pelicans, our frequent beach visitors! Perfect for families, our beach is next to one of the few undeveloped parcels of oceanfront remaining in the area. Ocean Sands lifeguards are on duty during the high season for your safety. 

Inside our home...Immaculately maintained and designed for your comfort with plenty of room for dining and games. We offer secure WiFi Internet access, Cable TV/DVD in living room and master bedrooms, along with books, DVDs, puzzles, board games and more. Baby on board? A Pack and Play is provided for your use.  

Our guests also have free access to an exterior storage area where beach toys, Boogie boards, umbrella, and chairs are available for your use and enjoyment. 

From the rocking chairs and picnic table on our comfortable deck you can check out our community pool with expansive decks, lounge chairs and umbrella topped tables. Bring your rackets and enjoy tennis in fenced courts just outside our door. 

While you'll feel off the beaten path, you can shop for groceries at Harris Teeter just across the highway, or walk over for custom made Duck Donuts. Shopping and great restaurants just down the road at Tim Buck II or Corolla Village.  

If you are new to the Outer Banks we hope you'll fall in love with the area just as we did when we first visited in the late 1970s.... Back when you stopped at the Wee Winks in Duck for milk and eggs, and passed through the guard gate entrance to Ocean Sands and the Corolla/Carova beaches....Over the years we've celebrated graduations, weddings and the arrival of nine grandchildren, dogs and grand-dogs who have grown up on these beaches.

Grammie's Place is located in Section F, Ocean Sands, Corolla north of Duck Village and Pine Island and offers the best of the OBX - from the less populated northern beaches where horses still roam free to fishing, water sports, shopping and great food at TimBuck II, Corolla or Duck - fun for adults and children of all ages!

Wild Horse Sanctuary and 4WD Area
Just a few miles north of our home is Corolla’s off-road area where wild Mustangs still run free. Book a guided tour from one of many wild horse adventure tours or head out in your 4WD vehicle. 8th Annual Wild Horse Festival at Corolla Village July 5-7!

Wildlife Education Programs
From the Whalehead Club to the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education in Currituck Heritage Park to the Bird Sanctuary near Sanderling (south), enjoy NC wildlife through guided or "on your own" walking or water tours.

Currituck Beach Lighthouse
The Currituck Beach Lighthouse is open for climbing, and its top platform offers a panoramic view of the area and of the village resting at its base. Rent a Segway or take a walk through historic Corolla Village shops at the base of the lighthouse.  

Gone Fishin'
OBX offers some of the best fishing and crabbing on the Atlantic - cast your line in the surf or drop a pot off a local pier. Charter a boat for family or group deep sea excursions for the "catch" of the day. TW's and other local tackle shops can tell you what’s biting and whether you need a fishing license. Google OBX Charter Fishing Adventures, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, Pirate's Cover, or TW's Bait and Tackle to get started.

Golf
The Currituck Club is located directly across the main road from the entrance to Section F and is a gorgeous, highly rated course. Or, take the kids out to The Grass Course just down the road in Corolla.  

Shopping and Food!
Do your part for economic recovery!  Grammie's Place is close to the area's most popular shopping centers TimBuck II, Corolla and Duck. Head into Nags Head and Kitty Hawk during the week for more food and shopping!  

Thank you for your interest in our beach home.  We are a Sunday to Sunday rental (why pay to sit in traffic on Saturdays?) with some exceptions during off season.  Get 2013 Season for 2012 Rates (plus Other Fees listed below). Book by March 1 and get $25 off.

2013 Season Rates

Pre-Season

• April 1-April 28: $750/week ($100/night) plus Other Fees
• April 28-May 19: $950/week ($140/night) plus Other Fees

Early Season

• May 19-June 16: $1,200/week ($170/night) plus Other Fees

High Season

• June 16-June 30: $1,350/week ($185/night) plus Other Fees
• June 30-August 18: $1,450/week plus Other Fees
• August 18-September 1: $1350/week plus Other Fees

Get Away Season

• September 1-September 15: $1,200/week ($170/night) plus Other Fees
• September 15-October 20: $1,000/week ($150/night) plus Other Fees

Post Season

• Off season rates flexible; email or call owner for information.  

Other Fees (in addition to weekly/nightly rentals):

$125 Admin/Cleaning Fee
12.75% State and Local Taxes on total fees paid

Optional Fees:  Bed linens are available for $50.  Beds made for you? $50.    

Payment Options

Payments may be made by:

Terms of Rental and Payment
A 50% deposit and signed lease agreement for all rentals must be received within 8 days of booking. Leases may be faxed or emailed to expedite this procedure. Failure to receive the deposit and signed lease agreement within the specified time period will result in cancellation of your reservation until these obligations are fulfilled. The balance of all payments must be received by us no later than 30 days before your arrival date. If your desired reservation is less than 30 days away, payment must be by certified bank check or credit card (2% fee). These policies are consistent with those used by all resort management companies on the Outer Banks.
