West Dolores River Cabin in Dolores

Welcome to our West Dolores River Cabin situated directly on the banks of the West Dolores River. This is a unique place in that it is not just a rental, it is our second home, and we have set things up according to our personal tastes and needs. We have found that those who stay here feel they have found a truly unique place. The cabin is situated directly on the banks of the West Dolores River and is ideal for couples wanting to fish, hike, bike, read or just relax.

The cabin is about 770 square feet. Although rustic in nature, it has all the conveniences of a modern home: The bath has a shower and tub, the kitchen an electric stove, refrigerator, and microwave. It has a bedroom with a queen bed, a small room with a single bed and a sleeping loft. 4 people can stay comfortably. A propane heat stove provides warmth. We also have phone service. 

All kitchen utensils, plates and condiments are furnished. Towels and linens are also available at no extra charge. You will also find plenty of games, puzzles, books and old magazines around, as well as a TV/DVD player and movies to watch. 

Outside is a fire pit for cooking, eating and hanging out in the evenings. 

The cabin is located 14 miles from Dolores off highway 145, 1 mile from Stoner and about 55 spectacular miles from Telluride. Directly outside of the cabin the West Dolores River offers fishing and floating.  In the immediate area there are countless hiking trails for all abilities.   Local roads and trails offer road and mountain bike routes for long or short trips.  Scenic drives abound in every direction including Telluride, Mesa Verde, Dunton and Canyonlands, to name a few.  Boaters have access to McPhee Reservoir for rentals or boat launching.

Rates are from June 1 through August 31, 2012.
