Our apartments are located in the wonderful Tuscan countryside inside
of an Old Village called "Borgo di Tignano" dated back to the 1600, restored and well decorated with original, natural and recycled materials, so that time can continue
to tell its story, while the colors of its rooms, greens, blues and yellows create a space-time dimension closely linked to nature and its  seasons.

We are located in a strategic point among the main cities of Tuscany, Siena-Florence-Pisa!

From here you can go everywhere you want! You only need your own car and that's it!

MANSARDA APARTMENT ( 2 BEDROOMS -2 BATHROOMS): is a
spacious apartment about 75sqm located in a typical rustic Tuscan house,
a mansard (penthouse) with a wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside.
it is composed by a large living room with open kitchen and fire place
with a double sofa bed, two double bedrooms( 1 with private bathroom
with Jacuzzi) and a 2nd bathroom with shower box. Wood ceiling with
Tuscan terracotta. This apartment can host from 2 to 6 people. "

LOFT APARTMENT ( 2 BEDS- 2 BATHROOMS):
This apartment is located on the first floor of the cottage hold Tuscan
building, an open space with on the ground floor with typical and
original terracotta, it is composed by a large living room with an open
kitchen well furnished ( microwave and dishwasher are not included),
double sofa bed and 1 bathroom with shower box, on the loft there are 2
beds, 1 queen size & 1 king size bed with another bathroom with
shower box. View of the swimming pool and countryside. This apartment
can host from 2 to 6 people.

BILOCALE APARTMENT ( 1 BEDROOM- 1 BATHROOM):
This apartment is located on the ground floor and it is composed by a
living room with open kitchen well furnished (microwave and 
dishwasher are not included) with historical stones wall, in the living room
there is a double sofa bed, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 double bedroom
with queen size. This apartment can host from 2 to 4 people.

DOUBLE ROOM (1 BEDROOM - 1 BATHROOM):

The vacation rental Lia & Angelo's has also a double room you can choose for example for a weekend in the surroundings of Volterra and Siena...

If you should choose this solution, the open kitchen is not available but the american breakfast is included in the total amount. The bathroom is inside.

LOCATION :

The Village of Tignano borders on the territory of Alta Val di Cecina and is inserted in a landscape of great value. In this area there are three nature reserves identified as "SIC" (sites of Community Importance): Montenero, Monterufoli-Caselli and Berignone.

The forest of Tatti, with its unique vegetation is at short distance from the village.

Golf courses located just 30 minutes from the village and the sea is about 45 minutes far away.

If you search for some relaxation, here you will find all the peace you may desire but you also can plan some walking in the surroundings, trekking, hiking, horse riding.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS :

By Car : From Rome, take the A1 motorway at - exit Val di Chiana and take the road towards Siena.
When you are close to Siena, find the sign on the right to FLORENCE, you have to take that direction so that you are brought onto the SS - Superstrada from Siena to our location.
Taking the SS to Firenze you have to exit in COLLE VAL D'ELSA SUD and follow the signs to Casole d'Elsa and Follonica. Drive along a sort of ring with 3 roundabouts, always follow follonica and Casole d'Elsa.
Towards the end of this road, the same narrows and cross a small bridge Ponte Santa Giulia 50 meters after the bridge, on the right, turn to MENSANELLO and Casole d'Elsa, is a road of about 7 km to drive entirely.

At the end you can find a stop in front of you and the sign pointing right to Volterra.
You will find a straight way and 2 roundabouts, at the second take to Casole d'Elsa and Volterra.

You will find another roundabout and go straight on towards Il Merlo, VOLTERRA.
After a hill, you will find the sign on the right Il Merlo (hamlet of Casole), you proceed straight in direction VOLTERRA.

After about 3 km you can find the sign with end of Siena province and beginning of PISA province , after 3/400 meters, turn left and you will see the signpost “ANTICO BORGO TIGNANO”. Enter and you will find our holiday-apartments!

Our Guests can relax in the beautiful swimming pool located just outside with an amazing view of Tuscany countryside (open from April to October).

The Restaurant service is available as well as the free Wi-Fi.

This location is an ideal point of departure to visit most of the local
territory, or to quickly reach the famous regional cities like Volterra (18 km),
San Gimignano (15 km), Siena (20 km), Florence (70 km), Pisa (85 km) and to easily reach the seaside cost (called Costa degli Etruschi between Cecina and Bolgari) located about 50 minutes driving from the Borgo.

For the passionates about Tuscan & Italian culinary horizons we offer fun cooking classes . Courses are tailored to your desires on request.
Hiking to discover everyday a new way to get in touch with this natural
environment.

If you like horse riding, the closest horse-riding spot is about 10 km far away.

Rates include service & taxes, 1 change of towels & linen per week.

Extra furniture of towels and linen and final cleaning are not included! (on request with an extra charge of € 35).

The american breakfast is not included but on request (with an extra-charge of € 5.00 per person).

It is possible to have lunch or dinner with an extra-charge of € 15.00 per person (€10.00 for children under 12 yrs).
