Beach house close to the water with gorgeous sunsets over Seneca Lake.  Features a full size bed in bedroom and a new Queen size hide a bed in the living room.  Guests have use of Hot Tub, Dock and large deck. Dock has mooring whips to accommodate boats up to 20,000 lbs! Room for 2 cars. Small Dogs (30lbs or less) are welcome.  Very steep terrain. Rental cottage is accessible by stairs or boat only.

Nearby restaurants include The Red Newt, Ginny Lee Cafe at Wagner Vinyards and The Blue Pointe Grille at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel. Trumansburg Golf Club is just 15 miles away. Nearby museums include Elmira's Wings of Eagles Air Museum and the National Soaring Museum, Corning Musem of Glass and Rockwell Musem of Western Art in Corning, the Glenn H. Weekly rate based on Sunday 3pm check in and Sunday check out by 10am.

Nightly rate requires a 3 day minimum reservation from Memorial Day until Labor Day and a 2 day minimum in spring and fall.  Weekends are slightly higher.  Discount on stayover Monday if that week not yet rented.

April $600, May $650, June $700, July $850*, August $850*, September $750 per week.

*4th of July week and NASCAR week are $950.  Memorial Day week is $750, Labor Day Week is $850.

Very cute cottage! The lake was beautiful and the hot tub had a great view.

Dirty. Very, Very, Dirty

This property has some great features, it is right on the water, has a slide into the lake and has a beautiful deck attached to a very long dock. We spent quite a bit of time outside enjoying the stunning views. The owner is pretty laid back. The location is great, so close to the wineries.

Unfortunately, there were some major drawbacks. The most notable was the condition of the place. It was filthy!!!! Large cobwebs in the corners, the carpet had dog hair in it, the floor hadn't been swept in quite some time, just filth everywhere. Before we could unpack I had to wipe everything down with Lysol wipes and I never walked barefoot in the cottage. The same went for the deck. It had to be swept, the tables and chairs we had to wipe down to be able to use.

Couple other things to keep in mind. The futon is very had and really only sleeps one person. The shower is in the bedroom closet, which was weird, but wasn't a big deal. The owner, who is very helpful and friendly, lives above the property and at least daily came onto the deck/dock area.

All in all, this is a okay place to stay if you don't mind cleaning upon arrival and "roughing" it a bit.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with teenagers

Owners response: The owners are frequent travelers who expect clean accommodations when they arrive at their destination. They accept nothing less for their guests. The owners meticulously clean the cottage after each check out. While we do allow small dogs, we have not had any canine visitors yet so dog hair is unlikely. Our rental agreement instructs all guests to report "dirty or damaged" premises to the owner upon check in. There have been no such reports from any guest.

This is a cottage. Wind causes seed pods to drop from nearby trees onto the deck. Unlike a hotel or motel, we do not offer cleaning or other services on a daily basis. But we do not charge lodging taxes on your visit like a hotel or motel. We do, however, provide a broom so you may sweep the filthy seed pods off the deck if you are so inclined.

We live a peaceful coexistence with critters of all sorts here at the lake. Spiders are especially resilient. You wipe them out today and they will be back tomorrow. But in a nod to city dwellers we have contracted with an exterminator so the critters will be limited to the outside of the cottage from now on.

The cottage functions well for family outings and romantic getaways. It has one bedroom with a futon in the living room. It features a galley kitchen with a refrigerator, stove and microwave. Outside you will find a picnic table, propane grill and large deck with a hot tub. The dock has a slide and diving board. Mooring whips accept boats up to 20,000 lbs. We are on the east side of the lake with gorgeous sunset views.

Come to the lake and start making memories that will last a lifetime. The lake is warm and the wine is delicious. Make your reservations today!
